I did (on I9192) and all the times I tried it broke playstore.
It also made Kies unusable, which I want working for contacts sync with Outlook and the back-up options it offers.
I tried to edit the script to remove only the bloat and keep the rest of the functionality intact,
but can not understand the dependencies between the apk and the so files
and it always breaks those two.
Unfortunately, the original creator has stopped supporting the script.
And so, I have also stopped trying to use it.

I backup everything via twrp, the /data folder that is.
For contacts I only sync them with google, works very well.
but, if I have to use some app I would use helium

I do full CWM backups, but the good side of Kies (I know everyone says it's s**t, but it has done wonders for me) is that by backing up contacts to Outlook you always have a local copy which you can always sync to a new phone and be up and running in minutes..Don't know, I was never confortable with my contact list being on the net ( cloud or Google..).

Hadn't even heard of helium, will try it if Kies keeps not working after running the script..

Dumb question just tried your Script and Now i am missing Music Player, Clock Widgets and Weather Widget Accu how can I Get them back can someone please upload them? Because I cant find the apks through xda search

Only thing I couldn't fugure out was how to get back the large clock on my lock screen.

I can still change the option in settings of lockscreen > widgets lockscreen > size clock, but on the lockscreen itself it stays the same small size.

With Titanium I searched on all "clock" and "widget" related items and restored them, but to no avail.

Anyone any idea?

I would never run such a script on my phone. I might like some of that bloatware. I want to know exactly what I'm about remove.
But this is a great list. If I want to remove something I can be sure I wont do a mess.

This is a very simple script.
It would be very helpfull if someone took a look the script where the apps to be removed are listed and give a small explanation of the apps.
Then everyone could customize an own script where only the required apps are deleted´by simply removing the line in the list.

I mean, can an app be extracted out of the original ROM and be installed seperatley?

Reason behind: everything is installed, works perfectly.... but FM Radio is missing....don't want to do all the work again :cyclops:

I have a i9195lte with XXUMBJ7-firmware.
I got su-rights with saferoot, backed up my imei, efs, nv-data and the system (incl. stock-apps) via adb.

I do not use CWM.

Now I'd like to delete unused apps with your script.

Can I run this script from download-mode without triggering KNOX?

Of course, I do not plan on deleting all the apps in there, but carefully selected only a few, I really don't need.
I just fear triggering KNOW...!?

VPN Apps not working

thanks the script is great, but now no more VPN apps are working anymore. Saying that no VPN Service API is installed. I guess because the VpnDialogs.apk was deleted with your script.

What can i do?

Next time make sure you have a backup before uninstalling system apps. I recomend Titanium Backup.
