You are on the newest firmware (just came out). I wouldn't recommend using this as attempts to downgrade the Bootloader usually end up in the phone being a paperweight. You'll have to wait for somebody to grab the NJ3 tar. CWM would not make ANY changes to your device other than the recovery. It would not cause the problems you're having.

I forgot to mention that the CWM I'm using is a Sprint version; does that make a difference?

No... The only thing CWM, TWRP, and Philz effect are recovery, when you boot into recovery mode. They don't effect the running system at all.

What is the difference between a bootloader and recovery? or are they the same?
I'm not quite sure what to do; assuming it were available, would flashing the NJ3 tar be a possible fix?

Recovery is when you power off, then hit Power+Home+Volume Up... How things are flashed. Bootloader is part of the firmware.

just the recovery, the bootloader never changes unless you flash a new bootloader via Odin or in the custom recovery

There are also some issues accessing storage on my device. When I try to use CamScanner, I get this message: "Directory check failed. Please check SD card state."

I never had problems scanning with my camera before I rooted.

Download SDFix by Next App in the Play Store... it's Google and Samsung's screw up, even unrooted on the OTA has that bug.

I've heard some users say the only thing that worked for them was flashing the KT747 Kernel by ktoonsez (it's in Original Development).

Just need to know why there is no" .tar" file in the extracted package. Md5 matched but download shows 1.46G when it should be 1.5G. When I open up Odin it only sees an older 4.3 Tar from one of the OP's older "no knox" builds that I have on my PC. Not even in the same folder or location.
