That error is resolved by either using Chinese TWRP mentioned in this thread a few times - it sets correct device name. Alternatively you could use the official TWRP, but you would need to remove platform check - unzip ROM zip file, go to META-INF\com\google\android and remove the first 2 lines from updater-script, then zip it up again and flash.

So I tried to remove the top two lines, and I flashed the zip I created afterwards... but after TWRP said the package installed successfully, the phone will not boot up. Also, the splash image before the ROM's splash image (I do not know what to call this part of the boot up, but it is the first thing seen after turning the device on) changed the quote from "I am not a phone... ecosystem" to another quote about "breaking boundaries" or something. Do you know a possible fix for this "soft-brick" like mishap? Or does anyone else on this forum know?

Final solution: download the original ROM, and boot into the Chinese TWRP, wipe everything, and then improvise.
