So I really love this device albeit some minor problems on custom roms. I don't see myself upgrading/downgrading to another device since I literally use this both as a phone and a portable drawing tablet. Would it be wise if I start stocking up on spare parts (flex cables, LCD + digitizer) or just buy a replacement unit and take out the battery? BTW, are 90x devices interchangeable in terms of spare parts?

My device is starting to get some brighter spots on the screen and it worries me. Hopefully the replacement parts online are good enough.

All parts of Galaxy Note Pro SM-P900 and Galaxy Tab Pro SM-T900 are identical except the LCD assembly and back cover due to the SPen slot.
The most expensive part is the LCD assembly because touchscreen and LCD are glued together with LOCA ( Liquid Optical Clear Adhesive ), you have to replace the whole assembly.
Other parts are cheap and easily to find, you don't need to stock up in advance. LTE models almost the same as Wifi model except mainboard and rear camera.
All LTE models are identical except the firmware, bootloader is locked by provider. You can change Verizon( P905V) to AT&T ( P907A) tablet just by swapping mainboard.
Bright spots are fine on the LCD, they don't effect the function of the display. I even can change an LTE Note Pro to Wifi Note Pro or Tab Pro just by swapping mainboard and rear camera. Rear camera of LTE models doesn't work with Wifi model even they look identical.
