Rep that came in said VZW was not slated to get the black. At least not any time in any sort of near future.
Not as if I "know" the op but I also don't know if I would trust a rep. Are they ever right?
An HTC rep? At least this one. Yes. Apparently black is on a carrier, but the HTC guy said VZW was not to get it. He also said in the future things can always change, but said there is no indication of it ever happening. Both myself and another customer were curious about that color option.
Jeez HTC really goofed the launch of this phone, with the colors and delays and Verizon being retarded.
Silver and black needed to be on ALL carriers back in March/April. With maybe a blue and red exclusive for a couple carriers. But black should've been available from the get-go to everyone on all carriers.

Still not buying it. HTC rep was in my corporate vzw store about 2 weeks ago and stated that vzw was not getting the One at all in the near future. I told him about the vzwnews official tweet, AND SHOWED HIM, and he still said it was bogus, not happening.............yet here we are, lol. Hope I see him again soon to rub it in, hahaha.
Plus wasn't the black One with vzw already leaked in pictures?
Regardless, as much as I want black, doesn't do me any good since I got mine on release day and got it htcdev unlocked

I opened a thread on this very question. I want this phone in the worst way but just cant bring myself to ever own a silver phone. Has to be black. No case or skin will justify. I have asked a couple of times on verizons tweet page and no one has ever answered me. Anyone else hear anything?

Any more rumors about the Blue? I really want the Blue, and I am sure the timing of the release of that color will be the day after I buy a Silver.
haha yeah I just saw that. I read somewhere that it might be a Best Buy exclusive. I sure hope not because their full retail price is ridiculous and I had had issues with them price matching in the past to Verizon. I was going to buy a Maxx HD one time, they had it for $100 more than Verizon. I asked for a price match and they wanted to "meet me in the middle" and take off $50. I pointed out their price matching policy and the manager said it was his discretion. So I try to stay away from buying phones there, even if I was using an upgrade.
Yeah I don't know why best buy prices their phones above manufacturer msrp. With my iPhone 5, the were charging $699 but on the Apple website it's $649. They weren't going to price match so I asked for the manager and even he said no. Then I asked "ok, where can I cancel my premier (meaning I spend over $2500 in that store annually) reward zone credit card?" He sighed and told the employee to do it.
So stupid, and they wonder why people have flocked to Amazon.

Just to go a bit more OT for a second. I did do a Amazon price match for a mouse one time, didn't even ask to see the price online,. just asked me what it was. So their price match is inconsistent. And I think the "meet me in the middle" was strange and against the intent of the policy. I wonder why the manager even cared. Maybe for a full price sale they don't get a kickback from Verizon for upgrade or new line.
Back on topic. Doesn't the Black have the same issues of scratching like the iPhone 5? I wonder if the Blue will have the same problem. It would be a shame to get a Blue only to put it in a case. Anyone think that Red was coming to Verizon. Sprint should get a Yellow (ug that made my stomach turn just thinking about that color).
To be fair, I did get my iPhone 5 pretty close to launch so maybe that was the issue. But to price it above the price the actual company that makes the phone charges is just not cool.
Now that Verizon is (possibly) taking blue, what color does that leave at&t? Haha

I saw the rumor for the Tuesday black HTC One release as well. It was a posting on some random website that said they were spotted in a Verizon store room but were unable to release it until Tuesday.

Well I just checked verizons website and there is no black ones to be found. Went ahead and did a live chat and all he could say to me was we wont know anything until HTC tells us. I laughed to myself after he said that and just closed the live chat feed. He obviously had no idea what he was talking about.
