I tried alot of versions, but 8.4.4 version is working good for me, although it freezes after 3 seconds, but switching from normal to portrait then back to normal again fixes it temporarily.

there are alot of settings to configure, but I spent some time working around and came up with pretty good results.
dont forget to edit your session Id/stream mode to 61444/8.

So how did you load the config file? Because that Shahim version should really work for A52s with the included config file (except for video, see discussion from April 11). You don't just have to download a config file, you have to load it as well. I think in Shamim you have to place the config file in a path GCam/Configs8.4 in your home directory.

You got it working with the other apk version, but in that one you also have to load a config file otherwise you get into trouble I think, for instance when using the ultra-wide. And I think people still think that on A52s gcam is hard or problematic or buggy, but it really all works quite well as long as you configure it correctly. In MGC (so the second apk you tried, with more success) loading a config file is slight easier (I think), you can double tap next to the shutter button or go to Settings|Configs|Load, and then you can just navigate to the right config file you have downloaded.

I would say to get started with gcam on A52s now the MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV1zfix you downloaded is a correct starting point, combined with a config that already includes the A52s fix, like e.g. my own sander-mgc8-1-20220316-xml
(so install the apk, download the config file, then in the app load the config file by double tapping next to the shutter button, or from Settings|Configs|Load)

I actually go into way too much detail into that here.

For the actual changes, in that post there is a bullet list near the top with changes made just to get it working properly, and then there is another bullet list near the bottom with more smaller changes I made.

And then there are a lot of personal preferences like no shutter sound, 3x3 grid overlay, h265 video recording.

But comparing to the many many many settings you can change, the changes from the defaults are extremely minimal (and if you want to have an even more barebones config with just the changes needed, I provide that config file there as well).
