G pad F 8.0 T-mobile,cannot connect with mobile sim?!

I have the question, I have got a 5GB data sim from Tmobile, it works fine with g pad V496, however, it cannot connect to internet when I plug in Tmobile mobile sim. It has 4G LTE signal but it does not allow me to connect. I am thinking if T mobile put a lock in order to prevent the tablet from using phone sim. As I got an Alcatel pixi 7 before, I was able to put in a phone sim and got unlimited data. Some says because the tablet has no gsm modem so it is not able to connect. I am not sure so anyone has clues about this?

Yes the device does not have GSM capabilties, supposedly. I'd order a new SIM from Tmo and then activate it on your line. then pop it in the tablet. the sim that came with my alcatels wouldnt work either. I think they aren't proper or something.

Don't bother. TMUS now detects when you swap SIMs. eg: I can no longer use my phone's SIM in my laptop. Presents me with upsell/activation page which doesnt work.
