G4 H818N on T-Mobile

Bought an LG G4 H818N in Shanghai a couple of weeks ago. Got this over the H818P after much research because LG's website said it's the Dual LTE model, which the box and instruction booklet confirm. Understand only one SIM can have data active at a time - but seems as though SIM2 does not support LTE at all, in China or the US (on China Unicom in China). Now that I'm back in the US on T-Mobile, I get HSPA on SIM1, but just Edge/GSM on SIM2. So in spite of LG's website and indication on the box and instructions that it's Dual LTE, seems as though in practice it is not. Disappointing.

Would like to hear the experience of H818P users... LTE on both SIMs?

In spite of this, I still love the phone. I'm in the US for relatively short periods, so have great LTE speed in China, and HSPA is not bad in the US, and usually on WiFi here, anyway. But, now I have to still switch SIMs when I change countries, which I thought I would avoid.

Hopefully this helps others avoid the same disappointment.

Edit: Wasn't clear that I switched SIMs when testing, and the T-Mobile SIM in SIM2 slot only gets Edge.

I got the H818P and confirmed can switch to LTE on either sim cards, BUT only 1 sim card can be selected on LTE at any given time (not both on LTE at the same time!). Also can only select to receive data on either one of the sim card, not both at the same time.

As others have already mentioned by "dual LTE" LG meant the H818N supports LTE bands for both Hong Kong and China, whereas the 818P is more suitable for S.E. Asia market like Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, etc.
It is definitely clear now that the H818N only supports LTE on SIM # 1, whereas H818P can switch LTE between SIM #1 & #2.

Hopes above info helps others in selecting the right model.

I have the H818P and bought it in the UAE. I received the official LG G4 Quickcircle flip case for free with the phone.
That case is supposed to enable wireless charging, but it won't work on my Qi charger. I have the Tylt Vu and it's not broken because I still use it on my Nexus 5.

Anyone know if H818P has Powermat support instead? Did you get your wireless charging to work?

So very disappointing. If you browse this thread, people link to H818N suggesting "dual LTE when in actual fact, it's not. This is false advertising by LG...so unless on the country/region this phone is released for can utilise LTE on both SIMS (at the same time or not is irrelevant), then you could take the complaint further to fair trade.

Maybe we can use H815 method from dev release unofficial unlock bootloader.
No chance, one ROM is built for 1 SIM, dual SIM phone use different ROMs/bootloaders. Must wait for the H818 versions, preferably the "P" one to, for H818P users.

Now, having said that, who wants to buy me one and list it on ebay? I'm sick of waiting...not a single retailer I have contacted has shown any interest importing this model...and those that have imported dual SIM and made it available to Australia, only have the H818Ns.

Who can help??

I think the pins are not there to support wireless charging because that is where the second sim is situated.

So, no wireless charging for the dual sim models?
This is big, I haven't seen any mention of this anywhere.

It's mentioned in the feature list, but I can't confirm myself...that's been posted a few times in this thread, here it is again:

http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=8051&view=1&c=lg_g4_h818p_dual_sim_lte-a_lg_p1

Maybe @paulie72 can confirm, he has the H818P. wireless charging supported, or is it dependant on the back cover?

Still want someones help grabbing me this H818P...

As mentioned by me earlier. No wireless charging. Because that is where the second sim is.

Very VERY big issues with trust. I'm powerless if something went wrong and even moreso out of pocket if anything needed to be returned through the Paymate AUSPOST option. I appreciate the suggestion as I said, but their customer service by email also seems very poor. Has anyone reading the thread used them before?
