Op is a step by step. Literally. Downgrade to Sept = Flash the build specified. Except the bootloader etc.
Flash the gpt.bin from the new build, apply update.
Next time tell that we have, to clean the dishes, walk the dog, clean the house and iron. We will see people will say its enough

Does the bootloader have to be unlocked to flash this?

Pie stable

I'm on Soak with December Patch, if I leak the final OTA of the Pie, will I be able to manually install over it or would I have to install the firmware via the PC? Moto G6 (Ali)

I have the Jeter version. captured the Ota. Give me a few to upload it

This is absolutely wonderful! I flashed the latest Oreo stock firmware (150-4) then applied the OTA from my external sdcard using the stock recovery. It said failed to verify some type of number, then it checked my vendor, system, and OEM, verified those instead and began installing anyways. It took about 15-20min to install the OTA, but it went flawlessly.

I can't express how happy I am to be running this. I'm doing everything that would cause the screen glitches I had on Oreo and they're not happening with Pie. I'm rooted and debloated with viper installed, and everything is working great.

As an FYI to anyone who installs the OTA, the system patch takes forever, just be patient and it'll eventually finish installing. The OEM and vendor images will install pretty fast once it's done. You can also get rid of the recents sidescrolling cards by installing a different launcher then deleting the quickstep launcher folder in priv-app. If I figure out how to split the volume slider like Oreo, I'll let you folks know. My recovery is 100% Pie compatible for anyone who's curious.

OMG im a moron. I had already tried rooting it with your twrp and it went off without a hitch. Probably should've mentioned it. The only issue I noticed was at First start up there are a few lags that resolve pretty quickly.
Also I installed it on a Jeter with a locked bootloader with absolutely no issue, using sideload, since it's the official file.

Also the decrypting process and disabler still works. Just flash it before magisk.

If it the sprint, boost, or virgin model, got to this post.
Make sure you're stock, not rooted, on January patch.
Put the update zip in the root of your internal storage.
Give storage permission to Motorola update service app in settings.
Check for updates. It will find it.
Update... It takes a long time.
Wait...
Profit
I got this to work on a US Cellular version of it, and I tried to make a guide on how I did it but it was a fail...

Is it xt1922-7 ? Kinda lucky you still have service. But if it worked, cool.
Did you actually get that phone from USC?
Us Cellular might use a couple different models, so it may not work for all.

It's the XT1922-9 model, and I bought it DIRECTLY from the US Cellular Shop and it's definitely US Cellular branded. And my mobile data works like a charm. Android 9 is running great and using it atm, it's stable and fast. Really happy with this phone. I was surprised the cellar data worked even tho I'm using the Sprint os it knows I'm using a US Cellular sim card
