G7 "software version" after AUS cross-flash = v20h-LAO-SI what is LAO? + radio issue
Hi All, I have 2 g7s one is G710EMW the other G710VM. Last night following Inerents super easy guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g7-thinq/how-to/cross-flash-oreo-pie-firmwares-lg-g7-g7-t3915303, I cross-flashed the G710VM to the G710EMW20h_00_0809 kdz (from lg firmwares) for AUS. This is what is on my G710EMW.
After doing this all numbers match (baseband, kernel etc). However there is one difference and that is "software version" The VM says V20h-LAO-SI and the EMW = V20h-AUS-XX. There is a slight difference in the software menu operation too. The EMW has only ever been updated via OTA
Have lg firmwares actually mis labeled the firmware? or is it something else?
I want to have the exact same for the vm. Reason being is that the cell radio on the vm seems to prefer LTE over wcdma even if it is having issues with a very week signal on LTE. My EMW prefers wcdma over LTE as the wcdma is a lot stronger signal. Is there some way of telling the phone to pick strongest signal? I have to manually just have it switched to wcdma only at the mo.
