Nice find. That makes sense. If you already have FP enabled before installing the ROM it won't start at all.YOU WON'T GUESS!
IT'S THE FINGERPRINTING SENSOR
Right after configuring a finger and rebooting the phone does bootloops.
So I reverted the kernel to @spookcity138 test6 and removed the configurated finger. Reflashed boot.img from @hennymcc 's ROM. And the phone is working again. :highfive:
That's might also be the reason why I was only able to reproduce the problem once and never got the bootloop again.
I will look into it when I have some time.
It seems there are two problems:
- Firefox crashes and causing a reboot. Spookcity already found the kernel patch that causes this issue.
- The fingerprint reader which probably causes the bootloop
The second problem with FP might be the same as the FF crashing problem or at least related.
Thanks to everybody for helping with this issue as well as the other installing issues (TWRP, ...).
I will also look into the opening post when I have time.
