Hi, I use sourses:
https://dl.twrp.me/kminilte/ - for twrp, chosen the first from the list with tar extension
https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=648344&st=1440#entry70716968 - for odin

https://www.theandroidsoul.com/samsung-galaxy-s5-mini-twrp-recovery/ - this howto for flashing twrp in odin. Note sourses in this howto and mine are different, I looked only for odin settings. Besides I unchecked box for automatic reboot after flashing, in order to prevent stock recovery to come back on first boot.

After flashing twrp was done, I just unplugged and switched off the phone, and instead of normall power on, booted in recovery mode py pressing buttons combination (vol up, home and power at same time) twrp was booted and I made complete wipe (data, system, cache, dalvik), then rebooted to twrp once again, and finally flashed the ROM.

that was ist - i was constantly looking at the Android Recovery .... now without the "REBOOT" optioon and shutting phone down by taking battery out => I am there ... THANK you ... it was so simple!
Originally biggest problem was I did not understand that I allways looking at the wrong recovery .... I thought it was somekind of minimalistic TWRP ...Text mode only ... but my Telekom Rom was allways rewrting TWRP and putting it back after Odins Auto-Reboot. Puuuh ... wasted a day of my life and almost gave up!

Now to the reason for ROM: my I-Phone Air-Pod bluetooth headset - which is great for feehands phone conversation - WILL NOT connect to the G800F under original rom (though the Air-Pod headset works WITHOUT a problem with other ANDROID samsung devices). So before sending the Air-Pods back I decided to try LineageRom as a last resort.

Any idea on the bluetooth with the original stock rom 6.0.1 ? Well I try lineage now! Thank you so much!!!

can you post the link for the google aps you downloaded ... I got an error I was using the wrong arcitecutre - I need to use ARM ... I though I had selected that.
What did you select ... mini ? ARM? Android 7.1? mini
=> the first try I selected ARM64 ... that does not work ... so I assume you took ARM?

Hi, yes you need to choose arm, not arm64. For me it was arm 7.1 mini.

I have successfuly upgraded from the 0817 version to lineage-14.1-20181030-UNOFFICIAL-kminilte.zip. However I do still have issues with getting mobile data to work, the phone never seems to make a connection while phone + text messages are working fine. Anyone has the same issue and found a way to fix it?

Your problem sounds familiar to me:
Please look posts 1610 up to 1618 and 1648 in this thread if my mentioned problem is similiar to yours.
The mentioned S5 minis in my family do all have the latest modem firmware and LOS 14.1 was installed with a complete wipe. They do not have any problem with mobile data or SMS any more.

thanks Marteng69! Actually I followed all these suggestions and none of them worked but I think I solved it today. After trying an 8.1 Oreo rom which worked fine including moblile data but had issues with app permissions to write on the SDcard (adoptable storage) I flashed back this rom and when going through the setup wizzard I noticed mobile data was working but after restoring my phone from the cloud it stopped working again. Finally I used reset all network connections from the setup menu and mobile data still didn't work. So I manually added the APN from my provider, restarted the phone and it seems to work now. This is strange as I had added exactly the same APN before I wiped the phone and it never worked. Also I didn't have to set the APN on initial setup and data worked as well. Very strange but so far it looks good and I'm happy to use this stable rom that otherwise has never given me any trouble. Thanks btw to the devs for making this fine rom!

I installed this version (lineage-14.1-20180924-UNOFFICIAL-kminilte.zip) on the Samsung S5 Mini of my son. The stock ROM was very slow. That is why he wanted to have a new phone for Christmas. Now after installation of Lineage 14.1 he postponed his wish for a new smartphone, as Lineage 14.1 is much faster than the stock ROM.
Many thanks for bringing Lineage 14.1 to Samsung S5 Mini in such a reliable quality. Should get the status official.
I will keep you posted about the experiences of my son with Lineage 14.1 on Samsung S5 Mini.

Which is the error message you get? And which version of the recovery you're using?

Try with TWRP v3.2.1.0. That's the version I used for gapps

As you will have noticed, this thread (and especially the OP) is pretty outdated. As a first measure, you should try using the latest official TWRP. And then you should perhaps be a little more specific which exact version of the ROM you are trying to use, which GApps, etc.

If you did all recommended wipes when installing the rom and the cam crashes even if you use it immediately after boot up, I don't know anything helpful for you. If the cam works after a reboot, try the app “camera restarter“. You might also try wiping the cache.

Try to remove the battery. The S5 mini has an issue resetting the camera.
