First, thanks for all that effort to provide these ROM's.
I installed the latest version from @panzerknacker and ran into a few problems. A few could be solved, a few not.
1. Encryption
First encryption attempts resulted in a damaged installation or had no effects (tried different ROM's). I found the solution at https://forum.fairphone.com/t/encrypt-phone-with-fairphone-open-os/15474/31 : encryption does not work if the full partition us used by the file system. Trying to encrypt such a partition will result in a damaged file system (boot loops in LOS 16.0 ?)
The simple solution is to resize the the data file system using TWRP as described in post #31 of the link above. (After a unsuccessful encryption attempt the data partition should be fist re-formatted. In TWRP: wipe --> format fata)
The only problem is that TWRP can't read data partition anymore. That means it you want to install software using TWRP you have to re-format and re-size the data partition)
I used TWRP version 3.3.1-0 because I read somewhere that 3.4 isn't working for that phone.
2. GPS.
GPS was not working and did not recognized a single satellite. I got it running for one time after resetting the GPS help data as mentioned in post #1585. But after reboot it does not work again and even resetting the data does not help.
3. Compass.
The magnet field sensors work, I used Sensor Readout app to test this. It correctly measures the earth field and external field. But the compass does not react on the external magnetic field.
Therefore I think compass direction is only calculated from gyroscope data. The probable reason is that the magnetic field data can not be evaluated properly because the calibration is not saved -- which was already reported here.
I attached some log messages which are related to this.
4. Smart flip covers
Please disable this by default. Several times the phone switched to the cover-closed mode and did not react on anything. Phone had to be turned off by removing the battery. That problem may be related to the compass issue.
