How did you brick your phone? Tell me the steps, please. I can't fr***ing figure out how to brick it. :p

i think you can easily brick it by attempting to flash custom kernel with odin. However, do you fully understand what a hard brick will do? Like there is no recovery menu to flash or wipe and no download boot to manually flash with oden either.. be carefull

I'm basically totally relying on the sdcard recovery image, as hopefully if it's loading from an external device for firmware, nothing else from the phone is loading alongside it other than maybe the efuse state of knox (already tripped I think) and the available bands...meaning I could take, for instance, a Verizon debrick image but put in sprint sbl1 and aboot files.

this method of booting from an sdcard as a secondary device is what I'm hoping to use. If it fails to successfully load firmware from eMMC it does it from an sdcard if one is available that has the required files

If you can get into recovery, you can get into download mode. I have an unbrick image somewhere, I'll find it if you still want it.

The unbrick image will work even if you have no bootloader. In the event that it can't figure out what to do, the phone will attempt to bootstrap itself to download mode from the sdcard. I've done it quite a few times, lol. I'm not sure how you would truly hard brick this phone, because you can always get to download mode using this method.

I thought I had it stored on google drive, but I don't. There is an unbrick image creator out there somewhere that I could run in recovery to create it, I'm going to see if I can find it.
Any luck finding img? My Verizon S5 is completely hard bricked. I have tried button combos to no avail. Even tried a usb jig and it was a no go. If anyone has anymore info on how to bring it back to life it would be greatly appreciated.

Try this:
Download this debrick image
https://www.dropbox.com/s/zdyoje0rw982lk3/Unbrick_IMG.gz?dl=0
1) Renamed it .img (unbrick_IMG.img)
2) Used Win32DiskImager to burn the image onto the SD card. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23578570567721308
3) Insert the sd card back to your device then Held Vol Down + Power + Home and download mode launched.
4) Now Odin full stock rom. (NCG) https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347769858

I tried that thread already. Still nothing but a blank screen. So no download mode. Connecting to computer with usb doesn't do anything either. It bricked when updating to new verizon ota but usb cable charger was not connected all the way so it crapped out in the middle of it. At this point I am stuck, unless anybody has seen another thread that might be able to breath life back into it.

I made a debrick.img for my Verizon S5 just in case. I can't confirm that it works, but I can send it to you if you'd like to try it out.

Here is the debrick.img from my S5 in case anyone wants to try it. I just made a new one a few minutes ago. If someone happens to use it, let us know if it works or not!

Thanks for uploading! Could you perhaps let me know which firmware version/bootloader version you were using when you made this? According to the guide, a debrick.img matching your bootloader version is important.
