Hi.

Is there a reliable way to hardbrick our device?
I have a working SM-G900V here and need to hardbrick it for some experiments :D
I'd like to see "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" in Windows device manager.

Tried to flash a bootloader via ODIN without battery and disconnect the cable during this process several times.
No luck so far, it's been flashed damn reliably :D.

Any suggestions?

If you must hard brick, then you can flash an old bootloader with FlashFire, but you have to enable flashing bootloader in the FlashFire settings.

Hardbricked!

My G900V got hardbricked too, sadly. I don't know what firmware it was running, I just know it was on 6.0.1 . Tried to do a restore from the Verizon Software Assistant, and I got an aboot error and it wouldn't turn on after that. What are my options? Would I have to get debrick images for all 10 releases of 6.0.1 and try to have them boot one by one from microSD? Interestingly, I noticed something when flashing one of the debrick images and running it on the device. When the SD card is not inserted, there is a constant whining noise (faint) coming from the back. I assume that's normal. However, when I put the SD in, the whine sound comes in short pulses. I just think that's a little odd. I don't think there's anything wrong with it hardware-wise, since it worked fine before.

Any thoughts?
