I actually gave my brother my S7E, after flashing the 935U firmware as he is on AT&T. From what I am seeing, would this allow me to flash the OS of the 935U with another bootloader so he can have all LTE bands? Currently I noticed he only gets H+ for data, but I haven't checked the bands available as he lives halfway across the country. If this means he can get full on LTE with all bands this is great as he is visiting in a few weeks so I can set up his phone properly.

But they were talking bootloader as well, which if you can cross a Chinese bootloader into a Verizon phone, the bootloader can be unlocked with the phone still believing it's pure Verizon and functioning like one. It's being claimed to be more about carrier codes and what not. I think it's a cool topic, and hope this crossing comes in handy soon...

Yes I would definitely like if more devs would look into this

From what I gather, the Chinese G9350 bootloader can be unlocked with CROM. The US versions do not have the ability to use CROM. I think they are saying you can take a Chinese phone and flash it to use on US networks. I DO NOT believe we have the ability to flash the Chinese bootloader and unlock with CROM.

I honestly hope I'm wrong, but I don't think we'll be that lucky.

You sound correct.. Unless it's a chance that someone unlocks the bootloader and we flash the already modified bootloader onto the US variant somehow which doesn't seem possible but I'm not a developer.

I'm sure that USA version S7&S7edge can flash Chinese version framework. I have seen someone managed to do it.

Here is something interesting.... wonder if this exploit could give us root without having to use the engkernel..... that would be awesome

http://mybroadband.co.za/news/security/175146-samsung-galaxy-s7-has-quadrooter-vulnerability.html

Just performed a scan using quadrooter scan app and it looks like on the latest Verizon firmware we are still good to go on three of the four vulnerabilities. I hope a dev uses this to get us legit root....

Looks good.. Should be posted in a widely viewed topic though

Apparently there is a Chinese version of the bootloader that may be flashed over the engineering bootloader that will allow us to unlock it like the enxyos version. Saw on another site also and they said charging 20$ for it
