I will try this method, but first I want to know the model I have isn´t the same as yours. Mine is the SM-G935V made in Korea

Soft bricked my phone

Hey guys, somebody HEEEELP! I tried this on my S7E G935V Snapdragon Oreo and I did not get far at all. After I flashed the BL, AP, CP, CSC Odin said it failed. When I disconnected and turned off the cellphone it started to cycle between Samsung screen and off. I then tried to go into recovery and it cycles there too. I can only go into the Download screen. I have tried flashing the G935U firmware many times and as of right now my phone is softbricked. Please help me.

Hey guys. Stumbled on this by accident. I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHY IT WORKS, BUT IT DOES. THE METHOD HAS BEEN TESTED BY ME AND A FEW OTHER PEOPLE HERE ON XDA. ENJOY!

1. Flash all firmware files. (I was already rooted with ENGBOOT so I checked "Phone Bootloader Update" in odin).

2. After that, flash the engboot.

3. Root. Download the file below.

4. Flash the BL file in the BL slot from the G935U firmware with odin and make sure to check "Phone Bootloader Update"

Congratulations! You are ROOTED WITH NO LAG!

I installed XPOSED. However, I didn't remember which version I used. Thank you @rlewis312010 for reminding me.

Install Via the app. After reboot I suggest a force restart. If you still cant boot, clear cache in recovery. You should be able to boot up fine. It can take 5 to 10 minutes, so don't panic.

If you gained from this, I'd appreciate a hit from the thanx button. I just started here on xda. Would make me feel good

Alright so I have system less root on sm-g935v Im not necessarily a fan of it but the engboot root method is like sleep aid for the sm-g935v my **** dont even want to work I've been seeing videos an forums of people successfully unlocking the boot loader as well but mainly I just dont want systemless root I dont fully understand your directions I'm not new to rooting but I'm not pro so if you could like contact me on another platform like a messaging service that'd be awsome because it looks to me like you've made a break through have you tried upgrading to a high software using the same tricks?

To be honest, my s7 edge broke. No longer doing any research on it.

When you say flash sm_935u do you mean bl ap cp an csc? I'm so confused I'd like to figure it out I'm part of a group who does root procedures an just the regular eng boot on the 935v is so horrible it's just not worth it

I don't know what this exactly is suppose to mean...we can already do things to get rid of lag and there is virtually no lag from newer root methods thanks to jkruse but your battery is still gonna get raped from being on a developer kernel 5bminutes on the net or on a game and your battery is down 20%...I gotta tell u I love the easy root and unroot with twrp...can root and unroot as I please and flash whatever...only thing I know I cant use at this point are viper4android but I love the dual speaker much better anyhow...I just wish for the life of me that someone could tell me how to tweak the values so I can make it a tad louder...anyways thanx anyhow...I'm sure this will be useful to some or most...cheers!
