i flashed the att user data its didnt turn my s10e into a att one so how can i get my s10e a att one the verzion one worked just fine when i was using my phone on verzion but im using wing now there company uses actual att sims cards so if you can help please tell me how to flash it bc its flashed fine just no att just plain old unlocked firmware

You can't flash the USERDATA file by itself. You have to flash the full U firmware package, along with your desired USERDATA

All base firmware is universal - anyone can flash it. The only differences are found in the USERDATA file

Can i flash u1 to 9700 (snapdragon dual sim variant) and preserve dual sim functionality?

For me dual sim is must (tmob +att)

No. U and U1 models will not have any dual SIM functionality in their software. Try checking if a mod or custom ROM exists to do what you want

Looks like SD5 is up on SamFirm for U1 under SPR for anyone that wants to upgrade from SD3. Might benefit you if you're a U1 user on Sprint

I think I got slightly less battery drain using sd3 vs sd5
970u T-Mobile phone using U1 firmware.
Just my experience, standby and screen on.
I am rolling back to sd3.

No. You can't change between U and U1 without wiping data. You always need to flash all 4 files, including non HOME CSC

Also have a U1 and cannot get the Verizon U to take.

You can always flash any version, regardless of which carrier region it comes from

I got it to flash and all is working. I had to power phone on with U1 software and VZW SIM so that it can make the necessary carrier changes. Then, I flashed the carrier U VZW software. I got it to boot as if it was a Verizon phone with all carrier features.
