Yes, you need the modded ODIN. Also, unzip the firmware file once it's downloaded. In it should be an AP, CP, CSC, Home_CSC and BL files.

  1. Ensure your phone drivers are installed.
  2. Turn the phone off
  3. Boot your phone into Download mode.
  4. Open Modded ODIN
  5. Connect USB cable. Once your PC recognizes the phone, ODIN will show COM0 (I think COM0) near the top left corner.
  6. Click on BL button, navigate to the BL file from the download and select it.
  7. Do the same for AP and CP files.
  8. For CSC, select the CSC file from the download, NOT the Home_CSC. Pretty sure you leave the USER_DATA blank, although I always second guess myself when trying to help others.
  9. Once you have the 4 files selected, hit start. It'll take a few minutes for it to transfer and flash the files..
I am using your little instructions again from last month to flash back to Verizon firmware. I really wish I could root the phone but I don't know why except I just love tinkering with it.

Unlocked on Verizon

I got it to flash and all is working. I had to power phone on with U1 software and VZW SIM so that it can make the necessary carrier changes. Then, I flashed the carrier U VZW software. I got it to boot as if it was a Verizon phone with all carrier features.

You have the unlocked s10 e and was able to get Verizon firmware installed ? Will it continue to get VZW OTA updates as they roll out.

Hi guy's keep up the amazing work...

I need your help I bought the SM-G970U1 256GB 8 RAM Qualcomm SDM855 from America single sim as not available in dual sim anywhere.

Samsung in the UK refuse to sell this model.

Is it possible to flash the SM-G970 128GB 6 Ram Exynos 9820 firmware to it using odin.

Your advice and input would be amazing... I don't want to flash it and brick or mess up the beautiful phone I have... I want to do this to make it look more OEM and also to change LTE to 4G.

Bootloader is default and want to leave it that way.

True gurus of xda forum.

@Shammy7861, no, don't flash mismatching firmware to different hardware. U and U1 are identical hardware, which is why this thread discusses cross-flashing.

Hi Lost_ thanks for clearing that up I will stick with the official Firmware which has come with the U1. I wish their was a way of changing the LTE to 4G with out rooting it. Hopefully their will be and I will do it when it happens. I rather wait till their is a rooting method with out unlocking the bootloader.

U to U1

Hi Guys,

I have a Verizon S10e and I guess it should be unlocked out of the box. I'm out of the country now but whenever I insert another carrier sim, I get a pop up message that I can't use another carrier right now then I loose reception immediately the message pops up. Will flashing thr U1 firmware resolve this and make my phone work with other carrier?

No. If the device has not been network unlocked yet, then changing firmware will not magically unlock it. A network unlock goes much deeper than firmware
