Hello,
I am using US Cellular and I have an unlocked Galaxy S10 G973U1. I wanted to use Wifi calling, but can't because of it being unlocked. So I downloaded USC CSC G973U1OYM5GUD1 and used HOME_CSC_*** with odin. When I restarted the phone, everything was the same, but it did have that firmware on it. What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated.
What is "HOME_CSC_***" ??

If you want wifi calling, you either need to convert to full U firmware, or flash the U CSC along with the rest of the U1 files
Oh, so I need to download the U firmware and just use the U CSC. I can use the U CSC with U1 files? I didn't think that would work. And I use the HOME_CSC... to keep my data? Thanks for helping this noob. I tried figuring this out searching before posting, but I was just confusing myself more lol.

If you do the full U conversion, then you need to wipe data

It doesn't matter which CSC you use. Neither one is going to prevent you from getting OTA updates.

I have no idea when Android 11 will be released for the S10 series
Hmmm. Strange situation.
I have buy G973U in Europe (Single SIM) with XAA/XAA/ATT (Android 10, ui 2.x) out of the box and no one update for a couple of a days till i change CSC to USC and have a couple updates and restarts to June 2021 sec. patch and Android 11/UI 3.1. After that i have turned csc to XAA via SamKey and i am waiting for July update to see what will happen. To be updated or not...

What is Your suggestion to me to stay on what CSC and have a regularry updates to my G973U model?

Stay on whatever CSC gives you updates. But if the model number is G973U, CSC XAA probably will not give you updates because XAA only exists for model G973U1

Ok, i understand, but wondering what's happening. OOB (vacuum box with the Samsung warranty seal) was (Settings-About phone) SM-G973U and XAA/XAA/ATT :(
Any suggestion which CSC to choose as the least invasive about network bloatware?

Ok.
Now, my phone CSC is XAA/XAA/ATT.
What i must do next is to download U1 XAA firmware and flash it via Odin and turn my U phone into U1 or what (sorry, been little confused because i think i have a little knowledge :( but i haven't).

Hello.
Now, i am trying to flash my S10 U with U1 firmware via Odin 3.14.4 or 3.14.1 patched but without any success :(
I have downloaded 'SM-G973U1_2_20210531141437_zuv5zpibid_fac' f/w with Frija and successfully d/l it in Odin but sucks :(
Tried different cables but always the same.

Any suggestion?

Setup Connection is a USB error. If you are using a desktop, make sure to use a USB port on the rear, not on the front. Use high quality OEM cable and high speed 3.0 or 3.1 USB port. If still fails, use different PC

Hmmm.
Good news. All well done!!! :)

I have to use 'Modded-Odin-v3.13.1-Raimond' myself to enlighten it and everything went well!
My S10 now is marked as U1 version with XAA CSC with latest update for U1 version and XAA CSC

TNX A LOT!

    (For those who don't know, G973U is the model number of all of the US carrier versions of the Galaxy S10. The G973U1 is the model number of the same device, but sold by Samsung SIM unlocked and with no carrier bloatware. Firmware is 100% interchangeable among any of those models.)

    The large files will be your 4 part firmware and then grab your desired USERDATA as well. I'll continue to add more versions and more USERDATAs over time.

    Happy flashing!

    U firmware: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=290645
    U1 firmware: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=290646

    Notes:

    - I compress extra small for space and bandwith savings. The default Windows extractor can't handle it, so you'll need a 3rd party tool like 7zip, WinRAR, etc

    - I remove the .md5 from each file solely for faster flashing (Odin won't check the file integrity without it). Rest assured, the files are perfectly fine and safe - Odin has a million safechecks built in.

    - My naming method for Android File Host folders is: build - bootloader - Android version.
    So "SAT - 1 - 9.0" means the full build number ends in SAT, it's bootloader version 1, and Android 9.0. When bootloader and Android versions increment, the first build to have those changes will have its folder notated appropriately.

    - HOME CSC file keeps data intact; using the other CSC will wipe data. Any zips with "wipe" in the title do not have a HOME CSC included.

    - SamFirm still works, if you want to download them yourself. I pay for a subscription to a site that gets beta builds and also gets the official releases before they hit SamFirm, so that's where my files come from

    - I have identical threads for the S10e and S10+ as well

    - Post #173 has the correct procedure for changing from one U firmware to a different U firmware, with proper bloat and carrier features, etc.

    - You can get USERDATAs from SamFirm for everything but AT&T and Cricket- those files will never be on SamFirm. So in addition to the 5 piece firmware, I'll try to always upload one USERDATA per bootloader increment for those carriers.

    - For USERDATAS (all the others are self explanatory):

    AIO = Cricket
    CCT = Xfinity Mobile (Comcast)
    CHA - Spectrum Mobile (Charter)
    TMK = Metro PCS
    4
    VZW SD3 USERDATA has been added, for those who want it. Not gonna post the full firmware because you can get it from SamFirm under other carriers (specifically T-Mo or Xfinity)

    Hi @iBowToAndroid.
    I live in Spain and also bought an SM-G9730 which is also Qualcomm 855 processor.
    Do you know maybe if it's possible to change original firmware from Taiwan to another?
    I would like to have something fully compatible with Spain but here the S10 is Exynos version so I think it's difficult but maybe another Qualcomm version like USA or Canada (Multi CSC) could work.
    Thanks in advancep

    I have no idea. This thread is only for the U and U1 models

    Is Verizon pushing anything newer than SBA (Feb 2019) yet? I saw some stories on April 1 but they had 973F as the model in the screen shots, not 973u.. so I wasn't sure if they were real.
    Everyone but Sprint and T-Mobile is still on SBA
