OK understand thanks.No. That's a loophole that only exists with the S10 5G. I can provide a recommendation for a professional business to do the SIM unlock, if needed

I didn't find a TMK CSC file anyway, it was just in the OP. I just download the 988U TMB and the 988U1 XAA today so I will be flashing it tonight to see. Thank you guys for the confirmation and supportMetro has never sold the S20 Ultra, so no Metro USERDATA exists for that model. You'll have to go with T-Mobile firmware
When I do a new thread, I tend to just copy and paste the OP from an earlier thread/model. Sorry for the confusion - I'll delete TMK from the CSC listI didn't find a TMK CSC file anyway, it was just in the OP.
If you mean that you don't see the popup to install the new carrier settings, idk if I've ever NOT seen that, on U1 firmware. So that's kind of odd. Which U1 build did you flash? So I did the 1st flash to U1 and it passed (non-HOME) rebooted and put in my Metropcs Sim but i cant get the carrier settings install to come up like I did when i first bought it. Also, the device software still shows VZW VZW VZW but it does show its a SM-G988U1. Shouldnt it have changed to XAA XAA TMB or something not VZW?
*Even Odin mode still shows *carrier Verizon
With that aside, I tried then switching to U TMB firmware anyway, but now its failing and wont go through
Ahh I did leave my metro sim card in while flashing. That could be be itIf you mean that you don't see the popup to install the new carrier settings, idk if I've ever NOT seen that, on U1 firmware. So that's kind of odd. Which U1 build did you flash?
Did you have a SIM inserted when you did the flash? That may be why the service provider codes didn't change
And in order to diagnose why the U flash is failing, we need more detail
The Verizon bloat came back because you never got that popup. But remember that even if you had, you'd probably still get Verizon bloat. I think a T-Mobile SIM would need to be inserted after you flash U1, and then flash T-Mobile U + USERDATA, in order to get T-Mobile bloatI tried the U TMB firmware after flashing U1, included the USER DATA and non HOMECSC, and when it restarted, the Verizon bloat came up and carrier info
I just flashed back to U1 for now
Good idea, I'll try again with the metro sim out and insert it after flash and booting U1, since I don't have a t-mobile sim and it came up the 1st time. The Verizon bloat came back because you never got that popup. this phone code does not work with the verizon model. there are a few people here and in android central forum who can vouch for thatDial *#272*IMEI# (replace IMEI with your IMEI number) and it will bring up the CSC selector screen. Choose TMB, select install, choose "Sales&Network code", and hit 'OK'. Your phone will reboot and have the T-Mobile firmware. This saves you from having to flash firmware.
Just tried a coworkers TMB sim but i still did not get apply carrier settings. I flashed U1 4 times and inserted the sim card at different times to try and get it. I installed it after the full boot into the home page, then installed it at the start screen (setup), then I tried installing it when the samsung boot logo comes up, lastly i installed right as the phone rebooted and still i cant get it go off of VZW/VZW/VZW or get the install carrier settings. I feel like its a verizon thing. The Verizon bloat came back because you never got that popup. But remember that even if you had, you'd probably still get Verizon bloat.
