I have A137f model phone.

I searched for the twrp recovery file for this phone model and could not find it.

Where can I get the twrp file for A137f?

1b
If I cannot find a twrp file for the A137f phone model;

If I use the a135f twrp file, will it cause a problem?

Do I need to use MediaTek Helio G80 (MT6769V) compatible twrp?
No you can't use a135 twrp

I was using A5 2017 model phone, I installed twrp and magisk very easily.

Since 2017, twrp and magisk installation methods have changed.

now i am using a137f
Do I need patched AP before installing twrp and magisk?

Can you share the twrp installation and necessary files for the a137f model?

Thank you for the twrp file you sent.

I would appreciate it if you explain it like you would to a novice user.

I am currently using stock firmware. After learning the magisk and twrp installation stages, I want to take the necessary actions.

There are twrp and magisk installation videos for 125f on Youtube, 135f twrp and magisk installation articles on forum sites.
one is installing vbmeta, the other is installing patched AP.
I'm so confused so far I couldn't find the twrp file anywhere so I didn't root the phone so I'm just gathering information until I'm sure what to do.

I'm in no rush, I can be patient until I find out.

Hi,
Thanks for these. I have a A137f here.
I tried both images but the phone seems to be stuck in a boot loop now.
What I did:
- unlock bootloader
- put phone in download mode and use heimdall to flash the recovery partition with the above image(s)

Outcome:
1) Phone reboots
2) shows message about unlocked bootloader but doesn't respond to power key to continue
3) hangs there for a while, then reboots and gets stuck at 2)

I can enter download mode again while it reboots and reflash, no problem.
Any hints how to get twrp onto this device would be much appreciated :)
Also, any hint how to get back to stock recovery to get the phone to boot properly would be nice :)

Installing Custom Recoveries

A. Preparation.

1. Download firmware for yourl device
2. Extract ap file using Zarchiver

3. Patch the ap file with a magisk which will patch both boot.img and vbmeta.img

For Exynos 850 android 11 use a21s patched magisk.

For Exynos 850 android 12 and most other devices use delta magisk

4. Unlock OEM in developer options
5. Attach phone to pc and reboot to download mode
6. flash patched ap file.

7. Download recovery.img or download twrp.tar and extract recovery.img using Zarchiver.

B.Installation

Method 1.
1. Connect to pc and boot into stock recovery
2. Factory reset
3. Reboot into download mode.
4. flash twrp.tar into the ap slot
5. reboot to recovery.
6. Advanced, terminal.
7. Type multidisabler (twice).
Or flash samsung multidisabler zip
Or, for older phones flash dmverity zip
8. Reboot to recovery
Backup boot, data, super and dtbo
9. Reboot to system

Method 2.
If you have already installed recovery and decrypted.
1. Boot to recovery.
2. Install recovery.img
3. Choose recovery partition
4. Reboot to recovery
Backup boot, data, super and dtbo
(For Pitch-black just install the zip)

Method 3.
1. Install TWRP app
2. Install TWRP
3. Choose file to flash.(don't select device)
4. Select recovery.img.
5. Reboot to recovery.
6. (You may need to change data partition to ext4 first if format ruins your system)
7. Reboot to recovery.
8. Wipe, format data, type YES.
9. Advanced, terminal.
10.Type multidisabler (twice).
Or flash samsung multidisabler zip
Or, for older phones flash dmverity zip
11.Reboot to recovery
12. Flash Magisk for root(only for method 3)
13. Backup boot, data, super and dtbo

C. Recovery Problems

Most recovery issues can be solved by attending to the following issues.

1. Did you root using the full ap file patched Magisk .
(This contains the patched boot.img and vbmeta.img)
Exynos 850 users must use the special a217 magisk?

2. Did you then go all the way through the setup process?

3. Did you download the recovery to match your baseband?
See https://t.me/a127f_res/54 for Exynos 850 recoveries

4. Did you hold down power and volume up after Odin says pass?

5. Did you format data, not just wipe?

6. Did you type multidisabler twice?

7. Did you reboot to recovery by choosing reboot from the menu and then choosing recovery?

8. To avoid touch issues go to settings and untick "allow time out"

D.To restore Stock Recovery

1. Attach phone to pc and reboot to download mode
2. flash patched ap file.
3. reboot

I think I bricked that phone somehow now. I was able to recover once from the boot loop I mentioned above by flashing recovery.img from the original firmware package.
This didn't work a second time. When trying to reflash more of the original firmware this resulted in an incomplete flash. Since then the phone shows "An error has occurred while updating the device software".
I can activate download mode, but the device doesn't seem to respond to commands from heimdall. It only reports:

Initialising protocol...
ERROR: Failed to receive handshake response. Result: -7
ERROR: Protocol initialisation failed!

So far I didn't have any luck with Odin from within VirtualBox. I'll try Odin on a native windows box next. After that I'll run out of ideas.

Nope, no luck with Odin. It just hangs a long while at "SetupConnection..", then eventually fails with:
Complete(Write) operation failed. All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

The device's display doesn't show any activity, just the normal download mode screen without progress bar. I cannot boot it into recovery mode and can neither access it through adb nor fastboot.
Does anyone have any ideas what else to try?

On my previous phone, my device that went into boot loop, my attempts to return the original firmware via odin were always successful.

Could using the heimdall tool be the reason for failing to load stock firmware via Odin?

because here is the person who has the same problem;
Heimdall is among the tools it uses when getting a stock firmware upload error.

Someone here has the same problem as you.
I don't know if he found a solution, he couldn't get a reply from the forum.

Fix Odin Complete (Write) Failed
while doing research; I came across droitkit software which says it can offer a solution for those who get this error, you can search this software.

physwizz, Do you have any idea on unlocking the bootloader for Samsung Galaxy A13 ?
It seems hard.
I tried changing the time to 2 year after and that show me OEM Unlock.
I did enable it.
The next thing I did is turn the phone into Download Mode.
Also I don't think I've the option the unlock the bootloader
But I got OEM Lock ON(U1)
What do you think I should do to unlock the bootloader ?

To Unlock Bootloader
1. On phone developer options in settings allow OEM unlocking and enable usb debugging by moving both
sliders RIGHT

If you don't see the OEM unlock
-Disable Auto System Update
-Then disable Automatic date and time (Found in General Management) > then set the time back 14 days
- Connect to the internet
-Go to software update then check for update and wait a long time till it registers the device on server
-Once it's registered the OEM Unlock should be visible in the Developer Options

then connect phone to PC
2. Reboot into download mode by holding down both Vol up and Vol down
(You might need to long press vol up to unlock bootloader)

then press vol up to continue

physwizz, I don't think I've the option to long press volume up to unlock bootloader.
The moment I press the volume up it just Continue.
Here are the only available option more me.
Vol + (Continue), Vol - (Restart), Side Key (Show Bar Code).
It is super weird...
Also this is a XME version and I'm still in contract...
But looks like the lock is unlockable after the contract end, which it just started three months ago.

OneUI is the os supplied with the phone.

    GSI is generic system image.
