Ugh. No security updates in months, AND last to get the update (im assuming sprint will beat us too). Definitely going for the next Pixel when that comes.
Think positively, Tmo and AT&T get the update same day. All other Samsung devices have been getting monthly updates on Verizon except the S7, so maybe they've been working really hard on Nougat.
When you do get it make sure and get it from the Google store and not Verizon
I am hoping my dad comes back from the convenient store.

I'm trying not to think too much into this but maybe its a sign...when I turned on my computer today...My Verizon Software Upgrade Assistant software did an update...It hasn't had an update since I installed it last May.

Contacting "Tech Support" for Verizon.... /smh
After 10 minutes of holding for the agent to contact her "TIER 2 Supervisor" she comes up with this:
"I have confirmed that the Nougat 7.0 has been released since 11/09/2016. I would highly recommend to please speak to our TIER 2, what I will do here is submit a ticket for you."
"So once you speak to them they will have reference about your concern on Nougat. We can try asking our TIER 2 if they can do reset your device."
I then state that I've already done a Factory Reset (did it because another tech agent was being pushy, so I decided to because I already backed up my device) and it didn't do jack...
"Yes, I was thinking that you may do the factory resetting, but it was confirmed that it may not kick in."
.... few minutes later
"It has been released but not card number"
... couple minutes later again
"IT would be best to speak to our TIER2, I have ticket Issue number: xxxxxxxx for you."
Tech support isn't so support lol
EDIT: Forgot to say that this was at about 3:15 AM PST time on Sunday, I guess they have 24/7 Live Chat, which for this matter of Android Nougat, they don't know what to say lol

I read that if you order the Pixel(XL) online from Verizon there is a way to unlock the bootloader. But you have to follow a guide I saw I swear on XDA. I am sure it requires an certain bootloader so ya dont want to turn phone on and let it update to 7.1.1 or 7.1.2 which ever it is now.

From my understanding that means they pulled the Beta to have it "Independently" Tested by a source other than their own customers. Doesn't sound very fair to me. I hope they update the dialer app. And actually give us the new UI like the Unlocked and GSM versions have.

Am I losing my mind or did I really just see this $59 phone with 7.0 ?!?!? How is this possible yet we are all sitting here stalking 7.0 to come our $7-$800 phones... Verizon WTF!!!

This is because nougat has been released publicly and the s7 and s7 edge have had it just not the US versions because the US carriers are dumb

Once again, all the major US carriers have released their Nougat updates except Verizon! Everyone else has Nougat and we have Nogot!
