Hi there, I am(or was) attempting to root my Galaxy note 8 following the instructions on this thread. I've rooted several other samsung products before using Odin and followed the instructions, but after double and triple checking that my pc recognized the device as "Qualcomm HS-USBQDLoader 9008" I used odin to flash the "BL_ZERO_FORCE_EDL" boot loader. Now my phone appears to be bricked. The screen won't turn on, probably because of the boot loader in question, however adb won't recognize my device when plugged in via usb. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. My computer still see's it as "Qualcomm HS-USBQDLoader 9008", but no luck. Any idea's?

I had the same experience, but its an easy fix.

You're going to need to download QPST https://www.qpstflash.com/. Once its installed go to the qualcom folder in program files and open QFIL.
From there, you need to to point the firehose path to the directory you downloaded in the root thread that contains the raw program.xml and patch.xml files.
Go to configuration, select Reset State Machine, and set Max Payload to Target to 1048576.
Now press Download Content
When It's done, you should be able to boot into download mode like normal.
