if you were able to downlaod then you probably saw that there is an 'original' zip. or if it was the magisk module then just remove it in magisk manager

Was just about to edit my post to say i figured it out. I didnt even realise that one said original, i just saw the files from the zip file, located and deleted them in root manager and removed the bak0 from the previous ones. Thanks either way!

^ @ OP Dante63, it's a shame there is very little to no feedback with regards to your speaker mod. I have just tried it on my rooted Note 8 Exynos Dual sim edition.

I simply flashed it via TWRP recovery and rebooted. It is working 100% fine, no bootloop or any other issues. It sounds very good, I am satisfied with how it sounds and the fact the upper earpiece is well balanced, though not as loud as the bottom speaker, but it sounds clear and makes a big difference regarding audio output.

It makes movies, music and games much more enjoyable to listen to and it is far better than having a single lower mono speaker working which I hate seeing especially on a high end flagship!

Hopefully others will leave feedback instead of trying/using the mod without reporting back, lazy they are!

Thanks for your hard work, I definitely recommend it.

Please help as i rename the original HTML as original and copy over the mode HTML. but this put my phone on bootloop and stock on startup Samsung screen and never pass it, i try to put it into safe mode but was not able to, any fix or how to removed the mode file

Easy, just restore your backup.

Your device isn't the first, I'll need a logcat so I could disable the earpiece when you plug the jack, the earpiece works because to bypass some audio policy where the MOD doesn't work...

I'll be able to fix it once I get a logcat...

I have the same issue using _BT_HD_ version for the snapdragon N950U1. It's the top earpiece that is still on with the headphones plugged in. I will do a logcat but when exactly am I supposed to do the logcat, at the moment the earphones I plugged the earphones in or do I need to do it after playing some sound?

Update:
I have attached my logcat after rebooting my Samsung Note 8 Snapdragon N950U1, plugged in headphones and played something in Youtube and it's the top speaker (earpiece used for calls) that is on while the bottom speaker is off. Are you able to fix this one @Dante63?

Do you have the Exynos version or Snapdragon? It is possible that you flashed or used the incorrect version.

Are you rooted and having TWRP recovery? If so you could use the default mixer_paths and over write the ones you did. You can do this via recovery.

Otherwise if you did not backup there is not much you can do but flash the rom and start from scratch. :(

Hi, i don't know that have I permission to put this file here, but I want to share my experience with us.

I past this in gain-media-speaker
<path name="gain-media-speaker">
<ctl name="HPOUT3L Input 1 Volume" value="35" />
<ctl name="HPOUT3R Input 1 Volume"value="10" />
</path>
I think this control hole sound of the speaker and volume down the left speaker, witch I think is main speaker.
And change value of the ear like this
<!--XDA-Dante63: Defining Ear start-->
<ctl name="HPOUT3L Input 1 Volume" value="70" />
<ctl name="HPOUT3R Input 1 Volume" value="70" />
<!--XDA-Dante63: Defining Ear end-->

<path name="gain-media-headset">
<ctl name="HPOUT2L Impedance Volume" value="120" />
<ctl name="HPOUT2R Impedance Volume" value="0" />
<ctl name="HPOUT2L Input 1 Volume" value="70" />
<ctl name="HPOUT2R Input 1 Volume" value="0" />
</path>

I know the code looks weird but I think is work.
This make a sound from the main and ear speaker almost the same. Or this a placebo effect. Somebody can try and tell to us.
There's no popping sound !
One more time, I'm sorry if I can't do that public.

Edit: just noticed you posted on my thread ?...
Well Value 70 or whatever above what I stated, to be precise, the reason is to be safe from sudden loud sound that would damage the earpiece, it's not designed to withstand them...

Well everyone's welcome to try playing with the values... It's your responsibility to be cautious... Especially when playing certain songs or worst... MEMES... :silly:

Open mixer_gains and change the HPOUT3L and R value to 30... But the values I set are safe if you didn't do anything...

    EXYNOS: I have made SoundMod Magisk Module by Modifying my own mixers_path.xml & mixers_gain.xml
    SNAPDRAGON: I have made SoundMod Magisk Module Flashable TWRP (You can use Flashfire) by Modifying original mixer_paths_tavil.xml

    Download below:

    Make your own soundmod by following my guide here:
    dualspeaker soundmod tutorial guide - all devices - root only

    !!! ALWAYS MAKE BACKUP OF YOUR FILES BEFORE REPLACING THEM !!!
    If you didn't, no worries I have Attached my Backup (EXYNOS & SNAPDRAGON)...
    You can Use it with MAGISK (Snapdragon device, doesn't have Magisk)
    or
    You can Use it with TWRP
    or
    Just extract the MANUAL zip and get the mixers and place them in your system/etc & set permissions to 644 (rw-r--r--) ...
    reboot...
    Re-Tested on my Note 8 Exynos...
    Still Works Great... :silly:

    Let me know if you face any issues...
    SNAPDRAGON MOD:
    I Thank you for very much your help user louforgiveno ...
    --- TWRP file is flashable by flashfire reported by users...
    --- TWRP Bluetooth & Headphones (the file name having "_BT_HD_" ) Gain Modified by member rickberg, revised by me...

    EXYNOS MOD:
    --- Merged All Modules and produced one, DIY for volume change...
    --- Top Speaker as it is, created TWRP as well...
    - disabled bottom speaker upon request from Motawa88...

    IMPORTANT NOTICE:
    The MOD can be used with any Equalizers, but wouldn't recommend it...
    If using Equalizer will cause crackles and noise, stop using and report back please so I could decrease the default volume...

    The pics will show the "main" items to change for volume increase (bass and treble settings to your liking....just be sure to enable the tabs of the items you want to hear changes to)
    And lastly remember each sound output will have its own config page ie headset, bluetooth etc.

    DIY Volume Adjust

    So would I be safe using this mod alongside of viper for the snapdragon phones? Also am I just flashing this with flash fire?
    Indeed it seems he has taken over lol...

    Alexander, looks like Lou got you taken care of, I was just saying what I'd read...That's a good compromise of the two audio mods. Will have to try that one. Thanks again lou! And yes, you too Dante! :)

    It was advised not to use any equalizers with this mod... the mod is set to where it doesn't crackle etc... anything beyond is with the use of EQ is at the users own risk...
    Same... I also prefer the copy/paste/change permission method as it just feels more complete/manual ...

    If only if you want to use any amplifiers/equalizers, the volume in the mixer file for the earpiece must be adjusted at lower level to avoid damage to the earpiece...
    I'll post the code you need to modify yourself, AGAIN the volume I put should be safe, if you decide to INCREASE it above what I put at least make sure not even a slight noise, distortion or crackle...

    Why I didn't set to the max volume, some music are amplified by default, in other words they are loud by default, it's like when you watch a prank video with your headset on loud volume and someone screams you'd say "rip ears", it's similar "rip earpiece", I set it to the max safe level possible so any change in music levels wouldn't do any harm to it...

    He means running a risk modifying the values in the file itself. The mod as it is does not introduce crackle or any other bad effects......as always the risk is yours as this is a MOD running outside of sammy specs.

    Throughout my testing I've been doing the copy, paste, set permissions then reboot method and it works 100%. I use root explorer, also while noticeable it is not omnipresent...try a video file, hold phone landscape at a comfortable distance and listen for the effect. You didn't by chance install the "stock" file he posted did you?
