Another headache...
In 2011, 2012 and this year Samsung brought plenty of Android devices. Today we received, through our insider the first pre-list about upcoming Android updates from the Korean giant. Samsung will update the Galaxy S II and Note to Android 4.2.2 but this will be the last update for these devices. This means the Galaxy S II and Note received an update from 2.3.6 to 4.0.4 to 4.1.2 and will stop at Android version 4.2.2. Google is the only OEM which gives so many updates to its devices but Samsung is doing the same now. Below is the list of devices, which will receive the Android 4.2.2 update from Samsung.

But there is more according to the first pre-list, Samsung will only update 5 devices to Android 5.0, which is not yet announced by Google but is expected to be announced at the upcoming Google IO. The devices which will be getting the Android 5.0 update are the Galaxy S III, Galaxy S4, Note II, Note 8.0 and Note 10.1. Our insider finished with saying that plenty of MID-range Android devices of 2012 / 2013 will also receive a value pack update. Samsung did this before with the first generation of Galaxy devices. The insider confirmed Google’s next version is expected to be a big update and Samsung will take some time to update their devices.

Below is the list of devices which is not confirmed by Samsung yet. But is confirmed by our insider.

Good luck with May, maybe we will get it and if we do I sure hope they do a better job with it then with the 4.1.2 update.

Really sad that Samsung won't update the Galaxy Note GT-N7000 to Android 5.0 but in my opinion Android 4.2.2 is enough for me. It has the best features i've ever seen and thats enough for me :)

I think the original Note is already choking on 4.1
But that's not the device fault, it's Sammy's fault for their horrendous bloat.

Jelly Bean is running perfectly on the Galaxy Note for me :D.. Even better than Ice Cream Sandwich :)
I am a bit dissapointed that the Galaxy Note hasn't all the features which S4 has for e.x the feature with Tap Top(where you tap on the phone and the list will go up to the top), i think Samsung built an extra Sensor for it which Note doesn't have.

LETS PRAY FOR ONE THING: I hope the Android 4.2.2 isn't using a sensor for AIR Gesture(to swipe pics by hands), i hope the Air Gesture feature is using the normal front camera, so that we could use it too on Note, otherwise i will be very sad and 4.2.2 would be nothing for me because i've never seen a better feature than this, but c'mon, ITS AWESOME! :)

Peace :D :good:

Double Tap to top feature was available in the firstly leak'd version's of Jb, later on it was removed, don't know why,it used to work flawlessly... I own a s2 also and in the latest build of omega rom the dev implemented it!

4.2.2? Definitely a long wait. Especially when the 4.1.1/4.1.2 is not even released to every counties yet.

I think there may be another google i/o the next year for android 6.0 if we ever get our 4.2.2.

Jelly bean hype is over long before most note users still didnt get their hands on jb on their phones.
I am waiting for klp custom for my note rather than a wait for 4.2.2.
