What full potential ? R u kidding, didnot u c the video that some one is running 4videos including 2 on youtube and many floating browser windows Are opened and playing a game and still the device processor is not at full potential???

The true info that browsing internet using 3G data have the maximum drain of battery due to the usage of continuous screen and power needed for 3G connection beside the processor,

Try to open just google with wifi and without plugging the charger and u will be sure that u r totally wrong :D

Plz check ur battery usage status also during this

Heat is caused mainly by charging or diacharging the battery or processor operations not mainky because of a browser ;)

Lets do it in a practical way:
More processing= more heat=more battery drain=more heat again

And by checking those snapshots u will find that even my 3D live wallpaper and other tools have more battery drain than my browser,so now my device should be heated forever??

Yeah yeah...
The guy's channel is called coldfustion and I subscribed it a long time ago.

I have been running many tests to see what is the cpu usage and the battery temp. (since the processor doesnt have temp. sensor). I know that Note can handle multitasking, however when I was using Dolphin browser only it was using processor's 1,4ghz for 99% of the time.

And Ive been talkin about the heat not the battery drain ;)

Hi,
I have a strange issue, when i opened my Gnote for the first time when it was new,
The default Internet Browser was awesome, if i remember correctly it had a 3 doted icon on the toolbar, when you pressed it it opened an extended menu with options like changing User Agent (iPad, android and so on)

After updating it using OTA, the new internet browser turned into very simple one without many options, all the options to change user agent disappeared and many otehr advanced options disappeared too.

The setting menu has very few settings...

Do you know what happened? Is there a way to return that awesome browser? Maybe a APK file?

Thanks
Try typing "about:debug" without quotes in address bar..it should unlock some additional features

Not very informative... WiFi uses a lot of juice and will heat your device up if there's a lot of data transmission going on - won't show up as browser Batt usage but it might still be the culprit. High bandwidth data uses more power than low bandwidth, again won't show up as browser. Running video within a browser may not show up as browser batt usage either but either Android system or the video renderer.

BTW, if you are using a battery saver that is using 6% of your battery life it may be time to uninstall it or look elsewhere! ;)

For the battery saver the 6% is normal for me that day cause i accessed it alot, and normally it takes from 2 to 4% on regular usage, and that is acceptable for a background service that is always on the monitoring mode or what ;) ,also battery saver is one of the top tools in its category as stated by hundreds around the world, try to be informative and give me a better replacment for it that have all of its options , i will wait ur answer :)

I use Juice Defender. Gives me significant battery savings and never even registers in the battery stats. Another good alternative is Green Power, although I preferred the additional tweaking you can do with JD.

I was having stability issues when using juice defender. So if your phone suddenly stops reacting for 98% it will be juice defender fault. I'm not using it anymore. If your phone is using to much power then some apps or wrong settings are causing it. If SGN is using good kernel, stable ROM and is properly set, battery lifetime should be enough for most users. But if you are still not satisfied then you always can install SetCPU and test out different governors.

JD works fine for me... No problems whatsoever. I used the free version for a week with just the data connection being auto-toggled and saved 5-10% battery life compared to before.

After a week I upgraded to Ultimate to support the developer and switched to custom mode with WiFi auto switching, Bluetooth, night mode that automatically switches phone to silent at bedtime and back to ring mode in the morning. I get 20%+ extended battery life per day on average and about 1% battery drop over night.

I've heard the deep sleep mode can cause problems with some ROMs/kernels but I'm on stock everything (but rooted) and haven't had any issues at all.

i agree , too much heat, mines goes to 48 celsius.
running the same website equaly smoothly using the default browser doesn't create all this heat ...
