Galaxy S, waiting for 2.2....???

This is starting to get ridiculous, are the galaxy s the only high end phones that don't have 2.2 yet? I got my son a Droid X yesterday and it came with 2.2, my buddy got an Evo and it came with 2.2. Does anybody know when these clowns are really going to bless the galaxy s phones with 2.2. I'm getting real tired of hearing(mine comes with 2.2)

Bad place to put this and bad topic. We should be getting this this month and if not then we won't. Development has picked up and we have overcome most shortcomings. The devs don't want to see this. Samsung went back to the drawing board when people were unimpressed by the initial update to avoid a droid x like fiasco. I prefer a good update when it's ready than one that crooked out phones. Please respect the devs and don't post non -developmental things here. The general forums are more suitable.

First of all, asking will not make it happen sooner.
Second, this isnt Fascinate Development related, so wrong forum.
Third, how the hell should we know. No one on xda is making 2.2, and just like you we are all waiting for an official release.

Good thread! I've been waiting for someone to post about this subject. I was beginning to wonder if nobody remembered if Froyo existed. It is like everyone has been avoiding the subject of "when will it be released" for months!
