The difference between quality vs. speed priority (to be set in the Camera Assistant) is huge
Here a 1:1 comparison for 200MP
Not only on the details level also the colors are affected by changing this single parameter

This is for the people that think that GCAM is not worth it, even in low light.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
The annoying thing is that when setting the quick action of double pressing the power button to open the Expert Raw camera I need to unlock the phone first, it won't open the camera as it does with the standard camera app. Does anyone know a setting that can change this?
The "integrated" expert raw option in camera app like many reviewers told is bull. Its basically a shortcut, you can't drag it to the camera profile bellow and you still have an app in the drawer. You still get 2 different apps in recent tab.

I agree with this. I stopped using the Raw Expert app and I just shoot with the normal camera in 50MP. I could not find any picture quality difference between shooting in 50MP with the Raw Expert app and the normal camera 50 MP.

Does anyone know how to copy an extracted image and paste it into another opinion but I can't do it, I can only do the first part, extract am image, but can't see an option to paste it into another photo?

I have attached a few pictures I took in the last few days. Unedited, without any filters applied, taken with the auto camera mode 50MB for the bridge one and 200MB for the other two. The detail and color reproduction of the church one are very impressive.

You need to install the Camera Assistant app from the Galaxy Store.
Actually, you don't... Like with Expert Raw, also Camera Assistant is already 'integrated' into (or better: accessible from) the Camera app.
You can still install Camera Assistant app though, resulting in a second instance of this app, with same functionalities.

I had to install Camera Assistant from the Galaxy Store for it to be accessible from the camera app.

For 50mp and 200mp:
1. pics form my s23 ultra are always overexposed, so dissapointed. Esp with the sky, easily blown own out and not as "blue sky" as with 12mp, or as used to be with Note 10 plus. In low light, things are noticeably smoothed out, not clear-edged :(
2. shutter speed slow down compared with that taken in 12mp, that 's why pics are always overexposed and slightly blurrr (unless u hold the phone very very steady)
3. pics seem smoothed out, not clear-edged

Is it mine only or..... ?

Anyone experiencing noticeably worst image quality after the latest update, with 200mp photos? The speed of taking photos have increased, but now I am getting watercolour paintings in areas such as foliage where it was perfectly clear previously.

During a photoshoot this weekend I decided to try the phone 10x and it did pretty good. Much better than my previous attempt with the 22 Ultra

After taking hundreds of pictures in the last 10 days since I got the phone the conclusion is that the Pixel 7 Pro is still the king for point-and-shoot. I still have my P7 Pro and have been comparing them in multiple scenarios. The auto mode for the Ultra is an absolute mess and I am surprised not many reviewers mention that. The pictures are overexposed, oversharpened, and oversaturated. And before anyone asks, yes I did switch off the scene optimiser and installed the camera settings from the Samsung Appstore but I could not find any setting that improves things.

If you set the auto camera to 50MP and you have a sunny day then yes the auto will be good or at least decent most of the time but that is also the case for phones costing 3x less than the Ultra. The best and easiest way for me to take good pictures is to use the Expert Raw camera set on 50 MP and everything else on auto. The annoying thing is that when setting the quick action of double pressing the power button to open the Expert Raw camera I need to unlock the phone first, it won't open the camera as it does with the standard camera app. Does anyone know a setting that can change this?

I hope Samsung will provide a software update soon as I still prefer to use my smartphone camera as a point-and-shoot and not have to fiddle with the settings too much.
