Hi, guys.
I bought the S4 mini today and unfortunately at home I noticed that it is the GT-I9195I version and it seems there is no custom development (Cyanogenmod at least) for this model. Is that true?
If so, I will try to change it at store for the GT-I9195 which has the support here.

Hello,

First I wanted a simple i9195, but It was a i9195i in the mail box...
And discovered that no recovery or no custom rom are available...

I was just able to root it easily with Kingroot + remove it with SuperSU.
The battery consumption is just impressive for the moment. Now if only one or two good developer could be interested with this device, it's would be really good :)

ie: the Knox is at 0x0.
ie2: Antutu have a benchmark of 20287 on my device.

Regards

Which SuperSU do you use? How do you get it work?
Finally it's was a 'false' info...
The root have stood for 3 boot, but now at each boot I need to use kingroot and use the script Replace_Kinguser_user_SuperSU-v2.4.zip

Try to compile CWM for this unit.
But if TWRP work on this device, i don't need to spend more time on it, I prefer donate some €uro to the developer :)
@NxtGenCowboy: Any source ? :D

TWRP *should* be posted officially at some point today. Dees_troy build it, I tested it. Its been added as an official supported device. A thread should be up soon.

Thanks,
TWRP work like a charm, but when I have installed Supersu ... i have a bootloop in recovery... need to resend stock rom with odin at work tomorrow, as heimdall don't working with detecting the download mode and I don't understand why .... (ie: I have soldered QI wireless pad ... I hope it's not that...)(ie2: file transfert was working really well....)

Odin recovery again and boot to system... Try that.

I also used the S4Mini_RootKit_v2.zip posted but I removed the older SU.apk and placed the newer SU.apk

odin -> Flash stock rom (4.4.4) from samsung.
odin -> Flash TWRP serranoveltexx

reboot in recovery (vol up + home + power button)
go to reboot -> system and TWRP will ask you to install SU.

after the reboot SuperSU will ask you to update it, DON'T CHOOSE by CWM/TWRP but normal update. after that disable KNOX.

Enjoy full root :)
Now proper kernel/ROM/Cyanogenmod could be cool, BLN led notification and direct USB Mass storage is only things that miss on that phone...
