I have an AT&T Galaxy S5 , long story short..as i was taking my stuff out of storage after we moved,it was a very hot day here in Texas.I decided to take a break and sit in the shade and pulled out my phone and was using it,I leaned against something and heard a noise but ignored it.Then a small safe fell on my head and knocked my phone out of my hands.I wondered what happened then seen the safe so picked it up and my phone was under it.

all screens shattered and the corner of the safe landed right on the edge of the screen near the power button.I fixed the power button but Instead of just replacing the lcd/digitizer i am safer to buy another and swap motherboards.

I have seen all 4 of the main carriers S5 motherboards and have asked in a few places if i could put my motherboard in another carrier S5, as buying any other S5 is cheaper than buying an AT&T one and cheaper than buying the lcd combo.I can get a refurbished Verizon S5 on newegg cheap or of course bricked ones and flashable ones on ebay cheap as well. Now as to why i want to swap motherboards is my data on the phone, its fully unlocked from AT&T rooted etc, things i do not want to do again as i had that phone exactly how i liked it.and since i have upgraded my laptop to win 10 i cant get adb rights again the only way i can maneuver on the phone is with otg mouse but i cant get hdmi to work nor use [email protected] via adb to see anything so all i can do is unlock it and guess.Knowing my luck if i play around like that i will factory reset lol.

I see on ebay some people selling lcd combos that say they fit any s5 and others saying it only fits what carrier they say.but as long as the lcd combo fits the motherboard i can take anything else out of my s5 to swap .

I am not interested in getting any other phone as This is the last one that has user removable battery and a microsd slot.I dont like manufacturers following apple and locking the phone down with limited storage.

short story long, does anyone know if the screens are swappable and i don't want guesses please as i have searched and searched but havent found nor tested yet since my funds are tight.Oh and its no issue for me to repair any phone but im trying to go the cheap route and keep my phone.
