The manual says the touchscreen won't work properly under water, so that might be a problem with wet fingers, too. It won't hurt anything to try it and see.

I occasionally play hearthstone in a hot tub because I'm white, nerdy, and privileged. I haven't exactly tried to "test it out" yet but the touchscreen does seem to respond better than my Note 4 did when my fingers are wet. I would expect it to "get funky" when it's wet (thinks you're multi touching other points) but I can't recall if it's actually done that yet or not.

Yes it is, took this video with my Galaxy S6 Active.

Turned out great, walking in the ocean in southern California and caught some fish swimming nearby. The video is even better.
