Hey, I hope this is the right place to post this, if not please let me know :)

Usually the phone acts as a USB-Device (and thus can be charged) but in OTG mode it acts as a host and therefore will output 5v and not be charged.
Is it possible to make a solution (either programmatically or hardware-level) to make the phone be able to act as a USB-Host and also be charged during the process?

Usually devices that connect to the S8 OTG for example has a resistor with some value on the ground and ID pins of the connector and the value of the resistor indicates the type of device that connects to the phone it is also possible to externally connect the right resistor and make the phone "think" it is connected to some kind of a device that will make it perform the way I need it to? (Such as a docking station that charges the phone but also is a USB-device of the phone)

Also, assuming it's programmatically possible, is it possible with out rooting the phone?
