Really?

The music player this came with blows ass....there is no artist/songs/album sorting and I searched for an artist but now I can't figure out how to get back to my whole library.... lol thing is a joke.... play music ftw

Did you try entering the music app by the actual music app? or hitting the back button (next to the physical home button). I really like this stock music player...it looks good and functions really well compared to the one on the s2.

Given I like TouchSounds when clicking around the screen someone hosted a ui.zip file from a Windows 7 phone. I replaced the water drop sound(ANNOYING) with the effect_tick.ogg file.

Ensure you turn off the option for sounds when touching the screen. Make sure you have root and read/write access to the file system.

have to copies of Effect_Tick.ogg (different folders) and rename one to TW_Touch.ogg and the other to S_HW_Touch.ogg and drop em in the system/media/audio/ui folder.

Once done, toggle the option in settings for touch sounds and get a better sound for clickage.

Hi can anyone recommend a good replacement launcher I dint much like touch wiz either

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
I ditched Touchwiz launcher for Apex also.

EDIT: I'm hoping someone in here has an answer for this one. I can't mute all sounds! Muting does not mute the notifications! I was at T-Mob today and had three people trying to figure out how to totally mute all sounds to no avail. All missed calls, Email and Gmail notifications still get through when mute is enabled. Any ideas? Also trying to invert the background to black or blue for the Email app will only change a small part near the header. Changing text color works fine. You can change text color to white and have your emails vanish (did this accidentally somehow and took a day to figure out what happened, lol). This leads me to believe this is a true glitch in how it was intended to work otherwise why have the ability to change font color to white without any contrasting background? Anybody else experiencing the same.

Surprise me with a software setting.

I'm about to completely return the Galaxy S3 for good. I've been searching a couple days now for a solution and no luck. I'm on my second S3, and both units are completely unusable with the included headphones. Nobody can clearly hear me during a voice call, and I can barely hear them. It sounds like wind is blowing into the microphone, complete crackily static. Yes, I have pushed the headphone jack completely down into the slot.

Could there be some kind of software setting I'm missing that is causing this issue? Hoping to find a solution by tomorrow :(

I have 2 annoyances (bugs).

1. Doesn't allow 3rd party apps to read the orientation sensor when auto rotate is off. Try turning auto rotate off, watch a video on youtube and then turn the phone sideways. Video won't flip to horizontal. All other phones do.

2. Non-standard notification light color mappings.

Weak radio signal. TBH, it plagues all Sammy phones. However, was expecting that VZW SIII would work better than a 2+ year Droid II when it came to reception. The opposite is the case, sadly.

Gotta be a Verizon thing. My GS 3 has a death grip om AT&Ts signal and never lets go. Way better than my 4s.

Samsung keyboard sucks. I just assumed it would be using Swype coming from the Samsung Epic. Not all swype to type keyboards are created equal that's for sure. The suggestions that it comes up with are so incredibly far away from anything near the sequence of letters touched.

Thank goodness for Swype beta. So much better now I am rid of that Samsung keyboard.

No issues with wifi or cellular signal for me. So far its all butter.

Anyone experiencing the brightness the screen dimming randomly? I'm not moving from a well lit place to another. But certain times it just dims and lights. I do have it as auto brightness... anyone experiencing that problem?

Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
I have noticed that recently. Not quite sure what the sensor is seeing that is triggering the dimming of the screen.

A few things im really hating....

The biggest is the keyboard....omg i cant type one word right. It horrable. I miss my htc keyboard.

Having to scroll all the up on a web page to get to the web browser bar. Htc as soon as you scroll it pulls it down and dissappears when you stop scrolling after a few seconds.

If you see a picture of something on the web...it seems like you have to dl it first then send to a friend. There should be an option to just send it without dling the pic first.

Signal is terrable.

to be honest the only annoying thing I've found is the lack of a dedicated capacitive search button. on the GS2 I used it as a sms quick compose trigger and it was really useful for sending texts while inside an app. Really missing that button...
