I did all steps.
but its not working, when I open with holding volume up + power, unlocked warning appears then phone goes bootlop. I can only open phone if I dont press volume up (only power button). But magisk manager shows magisk is not installed.

additional to your steps, I tried following things;

- from magisk-patched.tar, I ONLY extracted meta-data folder, boot.img, recovery.img, vbmeta.img to new folder in pc then compress only these files to new .tar then flashed with odin ..... but it did not work.
- I also tried all your steps with "magisk canary" but it did not work.

Sorry but this procedure doesn't work. I tried 3 times. 3 times I restored the whole firmware and retired. No way. When I reboot with combination keys or not after the procedure, there is an small error message written at the top of the screen. And then the phone boot loops.. have to restore the firmware each time.
I am used to root procedures. I rooted all of my phones with the help of your forums. Last one was the note 10 +.

-Download the latest stock firmware for your Samsung Galaxy Z Flip with Samfirm/Frija app (faster) or Samfrew/Sammobile website (way slower).

    https://samfrew.com/model/SM-F700F/

-Extract the SM-F700XX_1_EXAMPLE_0000000000_fac.zip file with 7zip or any other unzipper.

-Copy the (AP_F700XXXXU1XXXX_CL00000000_QB00000000_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT_meta_OS10.tar.md5) file and transfer it to your internal storage.

-Download and install Magisk Manager APK https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/manager-v7.5.1/MagiskManager-v7.5.1.apk

-Open Magisk Manager and go to Install > Install > Select and Patch a file.

-Navigate through the storage and select the extracted AP file.
The firmware will be patched and will be found in Internal Storage/Download/magisk_patched.tar.

-Transfer the patched file to your PC.

-Turn OFF your device and boot into DOWNLOAD MODE.

-In Odin, click on AP and select the patched tar file, Uncheck “Auto Reboot” and click on Install.

The tool will flash Magisk V20 on your Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.

To boot in recovery or boot the system with Magisk installed:

    1. Powering up normally → System without Magisk
    2. Power + Volume Up → Bootloader warning → Release all buttons → System with Magisk
    3. Power + Volume Up → Bootloader warning → Keep holding volume up → Actual recovery

So I'm able to obtain root access for Z Flip.

Here are the rough steps I took, I'm not responsible for your brick tho, you need have some basic knowledge:

    -------
    1) prepare the firmware for you model, mine is F700N, I tried flashing F7000 firmware and it didn't work for me.

    2) extract the firmware, change the AP file format to .tar, extract it then use 7zip to compress your boot.img.lz4 to boot.img.tar, you should be able to select .tar format straight out of 7zip UI. Move boot.img.tar to your phone.

    3) install Magisk manager on your phone, patch the boot.img.tar, then move the magisk_patched.tar file to your computer.

    4) oem unlock, boot your phone into download mode, flash AP+BL+CP+CSC in Odin.

    5) after 4th step is done, straight reboot to download mode, disable auto_reboot, flash magisk_patched.tar as AP in Odin.

    6) volumn-down & power botton same time to force reboot, now quickly press power button & volumn-up to recovery mode.

    7) factory reset in recovery then select reboot

    8) install Magisk manager and you should be able to see Magisk is installed on your phone.
    -------
Most Magisk modules I use are working, EdXposed is working for me as well, my only problem here is that it seems to be a write protection on my phone, Root Explorer will fail if I want to delete system apps, the only workaround I found is using Terminal Debloat module.
