Game streaming to other Android devices or PCs with Moonlight and GeForce Experience

Has anyone noticed that for some games you cannot use the gamepad when streaming through moonlight.

Eg, Project Cars 2, gamepad works locally no problem, but if you want to play through moonlight you cant use the local xbox pad or the bluetooth one like you can with all other games..

Is there a known fox for this that i have missed as this happendls now and again, though its rare it frustrating when it happens

No video just sound on tablet but works great on phone

Having a problem. On my network, I cannot see video on my tablet, but can hear sound and move the mouse. On my phone, can see video hear sound and move the mouse. I am remoting to desktop using C:\windows\system32\mstsc.exe.

The only thing that I can see that is different from my phone and tablet is that one is using Android 5.1 (phone) and one is using 4.4.2.

I am using the latest Nvidia Drivers, GeForce experience, and your app. I am using a GTX 980.

I tried using ALVR the other day to play Project Cars in true VR the and the result was amazing. Basically tricks your pc and steam/oculus into thinking you have one of their overpriced headsets, when all you really have is a Samsung Phone (Oculus development mode required) and a cardboard headset. i also had a wheel and pedals - it was unbelievable. doesnt work on all games and still in development - but i could get used to this VR.

Tha input of controller isnt sended

Hi, I have a problem with my moonlight embedded In my retropie. My controller works perfectly on my PC, if i connect it, it works correctly in the retro Pie if I CONNECT it, but if its connected to my retropie and I launch steam from my retropie, the controller input from the retropie is not sended to Steam, or pc, I dont know why, if steam and retro pie recognices it if I installa the controller in each device. The keyboard and mouse inputs are sended to steam, is only in the Controller the problem. Thank you for reading

is there any way to change the resolution that Geforce experience is sending to the device? i have an iPad pro 12.9 and i have black bars at the top and bottom of the screen, and i cant change my PCs resolution to be iPads resolution so i wouldn't have does black bars. Any solution ?

Are there any known android tv boxes with low latency that do not cost an arm and a leg? I have quite cheap Amlogic S912 based KM8 PRO box in my posession. Latency is quite high - H264 ~70ms, H265 ~30-35 ms. I would like to get latency at least ~10ms .

Hello everyone, can anyone who is running android x86 try this version https://github.com/foxtrotdragon/moonlight-android-Android-x86/releases ? it just allows usage of googles decoder, which is obviously not optimal, however in my tests on my crappy laptop, using it like this and using it in windows had about the same results, which would be promising if my laptop wasnt so terrible...

However, I have a chromebook running the moonlight chrome version, and if that version is discontinued, how can i run moonlight? The android version has mouse pointer problem and running the linux app version-doesn't support hardware acceleration and is super slow. Also, does anybody have trouble in the moonlight qt windows version where if you press the windows key or the printscreen key when using moonlight qt-with mstsc.exe as remote desktop, it minimizes moonlight? It would be nice to have an option to prevent that.

For ChromeOS devices, Moonlight Chrome is currently the recommended client and Google plans to support NaCl apps like Moonlight Chrome on ChromeOS for the near future.

However I want to correct/address a few other things you mentioned:

• The Android mouse pointer capture issue will be resolved when ChromeOS updates the Android runtime to 9.0 (which is already happening in ChromeOS Canary after they skipped 8.0 for some reason - https://www.androidpolice.com/2018/10/21/chrome-os-canary-brings-android-9-pie-pixelbook/).
• The Linux app does support hardware acceleration for both major Linux hardware decoding APIs (which Chrome itself doesn't support on Linux without unofficial patches - see https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=463440). What you mean is ChromeOS doesn't support GPU acceleration for Linux apps, which is a ChromeOS issue documented here: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=837073

The windows key is currently expected to act on the client with Moonlight Qt because GameStream blocks it from the server-side. Not capturing it allows you to Win+Tab, Win+D, etc. So when you press the Windows key, it triggers the start menu which switches you out of full-screen. The Print Screen key doesn't do that for me, so I suspect you've got some software that's activating when you take a screenshot or something that steals focus from Moonlight, causing it to minimize. Do you want the Windows key to do nothing or are you looking for it to actually trigger the start menu on the server PC?

Thanks for the reply. Yes i have greenshot on my windows pc host and on the remote pc. I was trying to screenshot on the remote pc but it activates it on the host pc, anyway to prevent that without disabling the host pc greenshot program? Based on the fact that it's managing to intercept the key from Moonlight even while it has keyboard and mouse capture, probably not. I'd need to figure out exactly how they are intercepting it to know for sure.

When I use touch control my left stick stay stuck in direction
When I long press left for example it press left infinitely
