Not on android, it has multiplayer on iPhone. They said they're going to make an android multiplayer version as well though.

EDIT: The best way for you to kind of play multiplayer is to race each others ghosts in time trial. You will need to have each other as friends on Facebook or G+ and then share your times on Facebook and/or G+ and have the next player choose to race against friends ghost.

My device is Android 4.0 Tablet with Wifi and no Bluetooth. Besides i've tested these games only with 2 players. I don't know of any true local multiplayer games as of now. The ones i've tested are:

These games claim to have local Multiplayer features and are available @ Play Store. But, i haven't dloaded and tested em yet, either because they are very large sized or paid.

It was told to support mutiplayer via local wifi, but it says ur not connected in the internet in multiplayer mode.....

almost same thing happens in MC4....

I can't believe that you guys haven't played Terraria. The core is like minecraft.. But tye gameolay is a bit different.. It's a local multilayer cooperative game.

Yeah, there should be more Local Multiplayer games. I think the potential for local multiplayer games are underutilised in mobile field. Most games advertising multiplayer are Online ones.
As of now,there are only few good quality free games with Local multiplayer. Many users are unaware about the multiplayer capabilities of their device, especially in case of WiFi. Most don't understand how to connect devices with wifi, i.e starting hotspot and connecting via WiFi. Comparatively, bluetooth games are easier for users to connect and play. But, all devices don't have Bluetooth(especially Tablets, like mine). A fraction of Local Multiplayer games are for Bluetooth only, eg: Bluetooth Bomberman, Tanks, making them unplayable on many devices wid WiFi only. Many confuse between Multiplayer Local WiFi and Online connected through WiFi. And finally to make things worse, the developers of games don't usually advertise the Local WiFi multiplayer as an important feature. Gamers have to raid through google and play store to find out WiFi games. I tried googling, but couldn't find any decent and uptodate listing of Local WiFi Multiplayer games on Android.

See my friend local Wi-Fi means players who are willing to play multiplayer must be connected to same network. This means that if two players are playing then create a Wi-Fi hotspot on the third one without turning ON the mobile date I.e without turning ON internet. Now both the players connect to the same Wi-Fi network (the one which you have created) and then start the game in local Wi-Fi multiplayer mode. Asphalt 8 it's great game for that. ??

u can play doodle army: mini millitia its one of the best multiplayer games without internet. It could be pretty hard at starting but once u get a hang of it its just amazing.
