Just a little aggravated with the tablet. Excellent screen but new games like KOTOR and Witcher battle arena are not compatible with it. What gives?

I just tried witcher battle arena and it installed and crashed at start. I think its just some ironing out they need to do. If it says It isnt compatable. Im not sure what it is. Just contact the developer and give them a log if you're rooted or just report it.

Kotor says its $5.80 Here. Does not say its not compatible. Not too sure.
Another thing you could try if you're rooted is switch to a lower resolution. Maybe it doesn't support the full resolution

the thing is, I'm currently running stock rooted. Just irks me that my Note 3 picks up everything, but my TF701 doesn't. You'd think almost everything could run blazing on a tegra 4. And I know how to sideload. I just feel irritated that I have to considering Tegrazone advertises these titles.

Ya I know what you mean. The real problem is developers have to support thousands of devices now, all with different versions and configurations.

I just tested witchers battle arena on the nexus 7 with lp just to see and that is a no go either. Doesn't matter to me anymore anyway. A game has to be pretty good for me to even look. For gaming if anything I just use steam Linux.

When the Google Play Store says an app is "not compatible" with your device, it doesn't necessarily mean your device is incapable of running it. I think it is more likely that our TF701T is not on a whitelist of devices tested and approved by the developer. The fact that the TF701T did not sell well, and hence is less likely to be used to test an app by developers, is going to be a problem for games. Also, some apps are region restricted; I remember I couldn't install any paid apps from Mainland China, even though I could install the same apps while in Hong Kong.

Nonetheless, I think sideloading a game is no big deal. I installed KOTOR on my TF701T and it works great (though I'd still prefer a controller or mouse and keyboard).

Don't know if this will help. But what I've done sometimes, is see if I can download the game for my phone. And even pay for it if needed. Then, using an APK extractor app, I get the apk as a file. Connecting to my computer, I can shift the apk to my tablet, maybe through Dropbox. Then, I install the game to my TF701T.

This doesn't always work, naturally. And it depends on whether your phone is on the whitelist for the game. But at least, this is a workaround.

Good Luck.

What is the name of the APK extractor app you use? Thanks.

I am pretty sure any root explore will allow you to copy the apk from /data/app/*yourappnamehere* to your sd card and then do what ever you want with it...
