gaming settings for snapdragon 615
i use Poison-Kernel v5.0 with AIM rom 7.1.2
thermal throttle tweak for better preformance : [Tweak][Performance Like crazy][Z00T/Z00L]Antutu 41k on mostly any ROM (use google)

Cpu gov: impulse (for both clusters) * if the game lags put big cores on preformance governor and little cores on impulse* (this way big cores will work on maximum speed ,and little cores will use only one core on 200mhz)

Cpu freq: Big cores min. 200 mhz/ max. 1651 mhz
Little cores min. 200 mhz/max .1113 mhz

Hotplugging : msm_hotplug

Gpu initial frequency: 220mhz

Gpu governor :msm-adreno-tz

I/O scheduler: cfq

tested psp games : Spider man 2(full speed) , Naruto Shippuden - Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3(full speed),Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny(30 fps),Godfather (mostly 30fps ,there are some dips but only for a second or two ),nfs most wanted (30 fps),little big planet(30fps),sid meier's pirates(max speed)
(i will put settings for ppsspp in a few days)

tested android games :
Free fire (30 fps)
PUBG (25-40 fps with PUBgfx+tool) ||there will be some dips in fps when loading new area||

* i will add screenshoot of settings soon*

Hey... You've mentioned max clock speed for big cluster as 1651Mhz how's that possible... Is it a 1.7 GHz version ? I got z00ud 1.5ghz ... Or is it a feature from poison kernel... Just a clarity before I go for a dive

Hey ,snapdragon 615 can go up to 1.7 ghz but on stock kernel it runs on 1.5ghz

stock kernel (stock rom): big cluster is locked down to 1.5ghz and when trying to play anything it goes down to 1.1ghz or 800mhz
poison kernel (any custom rom):big cluster goes to 1.7ghz (1651mhz) when playing it thermal throttles to 1.4or 1.3ghz
fire kernel (any custom rom): same as poison

||with thermal throttle tweak||

stock kernel (stock rom): not tested
poison kernel (any custom rom) : while playing games big cluster stayes at 1651mhz and Little cluster shuts down (or uses one core on 200 mhz) *using impulse/impulse for cpu governor*
fire kernel (any custom rom): not tested

I never tried poison kernel but ... I used firekernel and it has only up to 1.5ghz I'm surprised poison let's you go an extra mile...that is not specified in the features list..... Well... I'll try it out and let you know here.... But I doubt why op would not reveal overclock ... So probably our device SoC is different... I've seen z00t with 1.7 but it's model number is different .. maybe ze661 or something.. mine is zd551kl

My device is ze600kl (z00md)
i have tried fire karnel and i did get 1651 mhz i flashed this edition ||FireKernel-r2.4f - (modified by op for 615)|| *it is very good for psp emulator*

if you read fire or poison threads you can find people that experienced overclock ........mostly 600kl models

Yeah... Now I understood.... It is SoC difference... Big oof...

Hello.
Do those kernels works on other Snapdragon 615 phones?
I have a Vodafone Smart Ultra 6, with TWRP 3.2.3-0 and Lineage 14.1 (no more updates from that version til now), and it throttles a.f. even @ room temps (like 20~24 °C) while the CPU seems to go up to 67~72 °C while working @ 100%, throttling to 800 MHz, and not keeping the 1467 MHz full speed on the big cores.

Maybe this phone doesn't have a great heat dissipation design (the SOC seems interfaced with a thermal pad to a thin shielding, then to the internal frame with a weird interfacing, at the center an adhesive part and on the sides a weird texture. Also the internal frame seems in plastic, covered with some aluminium powder or something alike.

Anyway thanks for every answer or suggestion.
