Totally agree with you. That was the noobiest pro tip I have ever read.To be honest, I couldn't find a worthy contender to get as a daily driver for the last 2 years. I don't really do gaming on it apart from occasional pubg game, or some emulation. BUT the sheer firepower this phone holds bought me, especially screen+battery+3.5mm jack+front stereo speakers. And I know this phone will easily last me another 3-4years of usage (with occasional battery exchange of course). I considered note10+, but lack of 3.5mm jack and no stereo speakers killed it for me (former nexus6 owner). So You can't tell people not to buy this phone as a daily driver, maaaybe if someone works with a lot of dust this phone might not be the best idea, but there is a fix to that too (basically wrap it around -screen with stretch foil for daily usage - no need to make holes for ports, except if you use the 3.5mm jack)
Next time call it a personal opinion.
