AOSP Extended is an AOSP based ROM which provides stock UI/UX with various customizations features along with the Substratum theme engine. The project has been made by cherry-picking various commits from various other projects. Being based on AOSP it provides a smooth and lag-free experience out of the box. We will constantly try to add more features and make it even better in future updates. A ROM by a user, for a user. #StayAOSP #ExtendYourDevice #BeExtended

Np7jfnY.png

#ExtendYourDevice Here are the Extensions! on top of AOSP! We are constantly trying to update the list. Our aim is not to provide all the features available on earth. We are not thinking of cherry-picking every feature out there. Our aim is to add important features that we think should be here and also what you think. For addition of more tweaks or features, head on to our G+ community and post the list of features that you want! Features with commits will be more helpful!

I guess there is nothing wrong in reading facts!

-Base Of the ROM & Version?
->Rom is based on AOSP.

-Why no "Incremental/Delta updates" Support?
->Actually the updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff is merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend a clean flash.

-Does this ROM Support Substratum?
->Yes, full Substratum support!

-Will this ROM relock the bootloader?
->No.

-What about XPOSED?
->XPOSED is still in beta stage. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have Xposed uninstalled.

-When Will Be the Next Update?
->No ETAs, please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready by your maintainer. We generally provide monthly updates with latest security patches and new features.

-I am facing FCs, Bugs, Some feature is broken?
->Provide full info about your problem with logcat and the procedure to reproduce it.
->How to take Logcats?

-Adaway is not working :(
->Download it from here Adaway

Yep, not much working yet and might take a while as our pmic isn't supported already in mainline, but I think after that I should be able to have USB host mode working, at which point I'll upstream it for people to try out.

Also, if anyone wants source to play around with, just ask.

finally I flashed this rom and I've to confirm it is amazing! all is working very well and no problem during flash or running the system.
I've only 2 question:

- where I can look for update? Only on your telegramm group or you will post also here news?
- there will be to download 2gb all the time for the system partition ?

Thank you again!

Hey, glad you like it.
1. Updates will be in thread for the moment, the telegram group won't have them yet as my builds aren't official yet.
2. I'll build the next build as a zip, which should improve the size

Hey, great ROM! only issue is that I can't install it, even when I have more than enough space on fastboot console it just says I don't have space, and on twrp it says it flashes but nothing actually successfully flashes, as shown with an empty system folder and stuck on boot logo. I'm currently using lineageOS but because the phone app doesn't work I was wanting to switch. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this please? I should be able to provide logs if necessary. Thank you lots in advance!

thank you very much for your reply, if I would suggest one thing, you could try adding a smaller gapps package, I see many google apps that I will not use and if other need them, they can install via google store...

THANK YOU! I didn't think of this, this worked (almost) perfectly! thank you so much, now I've just got to figure out my 'issue with internal hardware' message whenever I boot, probably just a gapps issue though... Thanks! :good: :D

EDIT: just realised, I flashed the wrong rom xd trying to flash to system__a (two underscores) so I've got to try and find a fix for that :/ thanks for help on the first stage anyways!

@emcom

As for fm radio I'll have a look into it

Thanks ! Seems like an upgrade when compared to original camera quality !
If only FM radio was working, then I think I'd switch to this ROM.

Just in case, is there any possibility to go back to the original software ? Relock bootloader etc...
It's company supplied phone in my case, so if something happened to the hardware, I might have to send it to the service point in "like an original one" state ;)

Hello again...! I managed to get the ROM working (thanks for the help!) however I noticed that the fingerprint sensor doesn't work at all, is there anything I could edit or change to get this to work please? Thanks in advance!
Also...

You can, however at the moment you'd need to make a backup of your stock firmware via TWRP, I can't find a stock ROM for the XA2anywhere, and flashed without a backup, so at the moment there goes my chance of returning back to stock :( But to answer your question, as long as you have a backup or a means of reflashing or restoring the stock firmware (normally backup) it's pretty straightforward to accomplish. Hope this helped!

Flashtool works, as for fingerprint its a known issue as the device ships with two sensors
