yep aurora;P

EDIT: I putted a static IP in it and it worked ! its connected now, but still annoying bug..

I've had the exact same problem with v3 of Coolexe's rom. There is a problem in the roms, it's not a problem with those kernels!

I hope Coolexe can find the problem...

Whatever kernel you flash, sometimes you can get this exact problem. Haven't figured out what's causing it... You might try to flash other kernels, until you get wifi working again.

After that, flash the gingercakes kernel again, it will probably work just fine this time. That's how I got it to work!

Gingercakes 0.8a works here now!

Just repeating my words for others with the same problem... :D

bananacakes, coolexe: you guys can't be serious. do you really think that the problem with removing the cfs implementation specifically developed by the @android.com guys for android/dalvik vm is that "logcat gets filled with error messages"? of course it gets filled. do you really think that removing an error message would be a fix for anything?

As a matter of fact, I wouldn't consider I do repair something or newly develope completely..

I don't have much of knowledge as like superb develpers here no doughtly including you, even my major job for a living is completely different as well.

Regardless of that, I'm just doing my best to share my progress so that others could have better oppotunity for the using desire.. collecting feedbacks and any informations.. and tring to apply it even though the result is unknown.. that is what i'm doing.. that's all...

Once again, I'm not putting my effort to repair or achieve something, just keep going until we're satisfied each other. Maybe Coolexe would think on same way..

Also I guess that it could be the error message which woud not be effected to any performance though,

It would be grateful for me if I could get any relative tips or advise from you as you've already done to me a few times.

bananacakes, coolexe: please excuse my rant - don't get me wrong, it wasn't meant to be offensive, it's just that in my experience, there are really people who believe that

i could be completely wrong here, but this is how i understand the issue:

you did not replace cfs with bfs
you replaced android's task scheduler ("cfs for android") with bfs - on android

and the solution is as simple as not replacing it
at least not without rewriting other core components of android

again, it was not a criticism of your work or of your person, rather the voice of frustration (i shouldn't have even commented it, as the whole bfs saga isn't worth the time)

Ok, I flashed the AceSmod007 3D rom and this kernel 0.8a. Everythink work except the Wifi... (bcm file issue ?) Even a dalvik wipe didn't fix my issue...
What's wrong with me ?

Sent from my HTC Desire using xda app.

You have to setup a static ip, I guess...

How about sharing our knowledge about building kernel?
It would be better than hiding the kernel source.
As you know, We alone cannot even make a development when everyone of community keep hiding.

Bananacakes, I think probably you saw this, but I can't help but to ask if this is doable? If yes, we wasted so much time on alternate methods to conserve battery power...

Awesome! Would be GREAT if someone implements this!

    Yes please! :D

I will try it.. but It’s hard, I thought of it as impossible. maybe The DEEP IDLE is designed for nexus..
The structures of nexus's kernel differs from that of desire...

hey sibere, maybe you can make it possible to put the needed bluetooth config to the kernel?
with miui roms this sixaxis thing works, but i and maybe others too will not switch the rom to miui only for this sixaxis. maybe you can pointout how this could be possible to integrate... i mean , if it isnt a kernel thing, then a dev would be possible doing that
    just a thought

    greets

I'm building ATM a new kernel with all 0.4a patches, plus tristan202 cpufreq patch.
AutoGroups enabled, simple IO scheduler as default, and L2CAP_EXT_FEATURES enabled.

    EDIT: Latest build posted here

Here is a fixed kernel with voltages up to 1190 added. IncrediControl will now work properly. I have not looked into the USB Fast Charge not sticking on reboot yet, and will not untill tomorrow. I'm on my way to bed.
