I discovered that Gboard sync option disappeared from settings of the app. Does anybody knows the reason?

yes, me too. no syncing now at all (((( why google? ??? samsung s8 ... there is no dependence from device

Last night I performed a factory reset and everything it's ok now. Gboard syncing came back! I recommend you to do the same.

I didn't have it too, however I have disabled the app and enabled it back again and it seems to be working fine now.

Its on latest updates on gboard released on 27th April or later....
If you sideload any previous version the sync option is there.

Only factory reset worked for me.

First uninstall updates, then go to Gboard settings and turn sync on. After that go to play store and update it. You should have sync enabled.

That's frustrating, and I've only just set up the device and without root so no titanium backup restore possible, I'm very hesitant to resort to that.
