I just took some selfies with the Pixel 6 Pro (Night Sight turned off) and Google Nexus 5x (HDR+ On mode) in average/low light conditions. The Nexus 5x selfie camera performed much, much better because the 6 Pro applies a huge and unnecessary amount of color noise reduction, which removes nearly all colours. Also note that the Nexus 5x selfie camera doesn't really have better hardware.

I also compared the auto white balance of the 6 Pro and Nexus 5x main cameras indoors. My Pixel 3a has a terrible auto white balance (outdoors as well as indoors), much worse than the Nexus. The 6 Pro definitely has a much better auto white balance than the 3a, but the auto white balance is still less realistic than the Nexus 5x, but using the white balance slider helps.

Hi,
I'm pixel 6 owner.
My Pixel 6 is Japanese version, so the "Camera sound" option is not available.

Can anyone just clone the current APK, without any modification, just enable "Camera sound" feature, so that I can install it beside default camera.

I will highly appreciate and be willing to donate if you can make it.

I have a Pixel 4 with Lineage 18.1. This Camera mod crashes when I try to open it. I tried adjusting permissions to camera, location, and files, but that did not help. This is the same thing Google Camera does from the Aurora Store.
Do you have any ideas how to get this to work?

Are you using gapps? If not, try this: https://github.com/lukaspieper/Gcam-Services-Provider and reinstall the modded camera. google camera has a google framework dependency and will crash without it.

Hey, I got the GCam APK from this website and downloaded directly onto my phone.

The name of my app is Camera PX. I can't access the manual shutter speed or ISO modes

I have deleted app data and cleared cache of default pixel camera app, restarted my phone. Is this an issue with Android 12?

Just tried the 45x1s astrophotography mode of the camera PX app (Pixel 3a) in order to use it with a telescope. I noticed that there is a bug. Camera Px uses a too low analog gain, this leads to more read noise. This can be seen in the exif data of the raw files. The app often chooses an Iso gain of 100, whereas the stock camera app uses 400 (one needs to look at the exif data of the raw files, not jpgs because there are two Iso definitions). A high analog gain leads to a better signal to noise ratio (it's a common misunderstanding). Therefore, the 45x1s results don't have a big advantage over the 6x1s results from the stock camera app, it can be even worse.

In portrait mode i can on portrait humans not objects or animals or anything else... Can you guys help me get a stable good version or a config ? I usually photograph landscaping macro's and portraits of objects ... So this is important for me thanks ..
