...please check the settings for 1/8 in 8.1 and try to adjust in 8.4 or post?
I can't see any different video settings in quick menu.
I can't find specific 1/8 settings, but I must say I never have searched or changed specific settings, besides the quick menu. I have always used the gcam+config versions as they are.
Can you hint what I search for?

edit:
I found 1/4 and 1/8 setting in MGC8.1 under "Video" "Stream Configs Slow-mo" "camcorderprofile", but can't find the same settings in LMC8.4

The latest lib from @antykat and LMC15 apk you find here
The config for Sunny or Ofilm lens from @Darkxstaar you find there
Thanks alot. I found something im very happy with meanwhile on the very first testing around, at very shady light...

https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/configs-bigkaka-01/ + Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Max Config, and its simply:

boom-mind-blown.gif

Dont want to be rude, but im new into GCam as i bought first Snapdragon CPU Phone ever, if your Config/Mods can beat this, let me know please. Im still at learning by doing. :)

Edit; The other Config there for that mod is decent too, if not a bit better then that "fix-v2...".

Using a lib with xml that was created separately, independently from this lib doesn't make sense. Modifying a lib with libpatcher to get specific, wanted results makes sense. Now, settings of libpatcher and the lib don't correspond to each other. They are random. So, my advice is: use xml that was created for a lib that you want to use, use xml that doesn't require a lib or create xml for a lib that you want to use. Don't connect a xml and a lib that where created independently, because the results will be hardly ever good.

Most XMLs and libs are fine when it comes to most lighting conditions but most turn ugly once you try shooting in scenes with difficult lighting like having multiple bright objects in the frame or against the light situations. Is this because of the sensor of our phone?

Look at these samples I've taken. The issue I'm talking about is more apparent during daylight so I'll post more once I've got better samples.
I already tried to fix this issue but eventually it affects other conditions as well, i always try to shoot at windows from indoor and i get greeny edges, there is one config which i currently using as daily driver it almost fixed that problem but im not sure that most people here like that kind of sharpness in there pictures, will share it some time later

I'm really satisfied with 8.4LMC15+lib. and Ofilm combi.
Colors, brightness and sharpness of pictures are good for me.

But still I have problem with video.
This time video does crash the camera only with 1/8 slowmo, which was a problem in the past with all video modes for me. Every other camera app stay black then. The only solution is a restart of the phone. (FYI: I have this problem with all 8.4 Gcam builds)

I tried 8.7MGC+lib+conf. too, but all video modes do crash the camera.

With 8.1MGC-intro555 Ofilm combi I never have this and can use all video modes.
So must conclude that this Gcam is still the most stable build for my use.
1/8 Slomo works for me(stock Rom) on lmc. didn't tried to fix it in bsg 8.7 , only worked on video section for stabilization,

I had the impression that Darkxstaar's xml config was based on that particular configuration.
If not, then this wasn't clear for me.
No its not, both are totally different, if you use my xml with Lib then almost all settings will be as same as my xml, the Lib will only affect those values which are as in library in my xml and antykat tweaked those in his Lib ( maybe some exposure and light and shadow also color settings) just tweak those settings to get same results as antykat, @Laptapper already shared a xml with those tweak you can compare the results.

Try my XML. I found that the combination of Lut Noise Fix (4.0), enabled camera.shasta_zsl from the Developer settings, and Spatial Bayer gets rid of the green or pink tinting and the noise that you get when shooting in scenes that are against the light or have high dynamic range. But now you have a new problem. Some parts of the scene get duplicated as if gcam used photoshop's healing brush on it.

I have tried now LMC8.4r15 with antycat lib+xml and LMC8.4r15 with your Ofilm xml
On both combi's, 1/8 video will crash the camera, but all other video modes does work
I understand that the main focus isn't on video, so no problem with this.

I have tried to find the LMC8.4 settings for it to compare with MGC8.1, but couldn't find these.

In the past with LMC8.4 and now for MGC8.7 all video modes crash my camera, which I find a problem with selecting video mode by accidence.

Have you guys tested my config? Do you also get the healing brush effect that I was talking about when taking pictures in high contrast scenes? Btw, only the main rear cam is configured. Most of the changes I've made are focused on getting a clear picture on high contrast scenes. And I'm still figuring out how to get rid of that healing brush effect.

Configs (xml + lib) for Redmi Note 10 Pro and LMC8.4 R15.

    Changes:

    - New, rebuilt Sat 1 and Sat 2 modes
    - Improved Macro camera

    About the configs:

✅ Works on both (64 and 108 MP) variants
✅ Detailed photos without over sharpness from all cameras
✅ Close to real colours from Main camera
✅ Sat 1 and Sat 2 modes for more saturated and contrasted photos from Main camera
✅ Upscaling is set to x2 for all cameras.
✅ Turn on AWB in Night Sight mode to get more accurate colours

    Xml:

❗The xml must be used with my v6 lib (link below):

How to use the xml and the lib:

    1. Put the lib into folder:
    /LMC8.4/libs
    2. Put the xml into folder:
    /LMC8.4
    3. Double tap at the black area between shutter button and gallery to load the xml.
The lib is loaded automatically by the xml, if the lib is in right folder.

For me HDR+ is favorite in case of fast shot.
Sgcam 8.7 is looking a bit noisy but best details and I think it could be improved to the best pic.

@nstream I didn't use led flash in case of not needed and flash reduces quality of far objects (also leica with flash produced bad over all details)
Led flash only needed in absolutely no light conditions....but for me it's useless in case of I've had no situation in no light to fotograph...

Checkout the laptapper darkxstaar package with Gcam lib and XML

Install APK, open, import lib, import XML, restart the app, success
(It's v9 and in my opinion with this config better as V10)

Well, hard to argue against personal preference. 3 Guys who i did ask to check that dings.zip did all 3 prefer the B too. If u like, ill drop u on a Secret Chat 2 pics, where u can see the yellow tint issues on your mods very clearly. :(

Also, on a Budget Phone what did cost at minimum less then 139$ i wont expect Sony A7R V quality out of. :)

In the end i really don't care, as i said, i just found it and shared it here. Everyone has to know for themselves what they think is better and choose for their daily driver. :)
I didn't say that photos taken with my xml/lib are perfect, did I? And only stupid people could expect perfect photos taken with HM2 or generally with a phone and it doesn't matter what sensor it has. You used my configs for comparison, so I reacted. Additionally I was curious what a good xml you found and recommended. So I tried it and shared my opinion and screenshots. That's all. You can agree with my opinion or not. I don't really care what "3 guys" think about my configs. I do my best and I am happy when somebody find my configs good and use them, but I don't force anybody to do that.
    Good night Rene 🙂

    20220901 Thread cleaned

In case of deleted files from users in my editable folder, test ended here.

I've followed the moderator suggestion about the sharing and the XDA rules, although I don't like to share with non XDA members.

This first post is now with a link to GDrive with shared xmls and libs
I've adjusted this folder that everyone can modify files inside.
Please don't delete files, otherwise the test with the editable shared folder ends.

My final final KAIRU XML (?)

This might just be my very last XML if no problems are found. (For LMC R12 Fix)

    Changelog:
Reduced the green tint on low-light (if it still persists then turn on AWB).

Sharper and reveals even more details.
Tuned the Wide camera and also fixed the distortion by changing the interface model, turns out it fixes the distortion only after capturing the image.

Added a subtle but very nice beauty mode "✨". It is very nice especially on portrait shots / human shots because it hides a bit of the imperfections (but not too much like what a TikTok filter would). And has the same color profile as the Main lens. I also recommend this mode for a very good low-light or maybe even night pictures because it has very low noise

    Please give it a try!

    20220830 Moderator Information

After a closer look at the thread, I find it is totally against XDA's standing on the way of sharing.
As a forum user for years, I spent 20 minutes on this thread back and forth, trying to find the direct links to download files but repeatedly encounter such words "xx is in invitation group" and it leads me to nowhere.
The whole thread will remain closed until I removed all off topic posts about "invitation group". And I believe this may take a few days.

    20220901 Moderator Information
TL;DR: all sharing must be happening on XDA or use XDA as major platform

    Wall of Text

This thread has been cleaned from off topic posts. You may notice that in total about 4 pages of posts are gone (147 vs 143).

As posted by some users here, this is one of the largesst gcam thread on XDA and the only thread existing for gcam discussion for this device. Unfortunately, it is not very friendly to new gcam users. A newbie, like myself :p, would be 99.5% lost during browsering this thread and the files people talking about were nowhere to find. This must stop.

I understand a developer's feeling of getting recognization, fulfilled, being needed, helpful, and credited. It is a great achievement to let your hard work to be used by many others. To a developer, getting feedback for sure is a critical way to improve the work. In this thread, I see many users are sharing their work and providiing feedback to each other, not only the main developer here, but each other. I belive in this gcam thread, everyone can develop and you are your own developer. Kudos to every "developers" here. :)

I also understand the feeling of "losing your work" when you posted it but no one cares or use it without feedback, it feels like "stealing" or "underappreciated". But I believe that is only a tiny portion of users, especially on XDA. And the background reason also varies: some users are new to this development or shy to share or just want to cherry pick the best for themselves. XDA is on internet, and on internet, we see all kinds of people like in your work, in your life. We accept the fact that users are not all perfect but to see the beauty in it: sharing the work with others.

From now on, please share the xml files directly on XDA. And for OP @Laptapper , I highly suggest you update the first post to include a repo or filehost or any format of summary you like to give others an overview of current progress. For example, you could release a monthly version and then continue ongoing test with users. This is just my suggestion and you have every right to select the way of sharing.

In the end, I want to emphasize one point:
all sharing must be happening on XDA or use XDA as major platform. Otherwise it is not allowed by our rules and content will be removed.

Thanks for reading this wall of text. Hope you all have a good time developing! :D

Sharing my personal config, arrived at after months of testing and tweaking:
    - For BSG MGC_8.1.101_A9_PV4, no library needed
    - Tested on M2101K6G (sweet)
    - Based on jeneeek's config (heavily tweaked for reduced noise, more accurate colours, better dynamic range)

    - All cameras configured (main, ultrawide, macro, front)
Includes stabilised 4k video recording for all cameras (though GCam stabilisation isn't as good as on stock MIUI app)
    - Photos are sharp and detailed, while still looking natural (no oversharpening halos etc)
    - Colours are natural and accurate but more punchy than stock (especially in low light)

If you prefer instant photos you can turn off HDR+ Enhanced, but I recommend keeping it on as it gives you improved noise management in main cam, better preserved highlights in ultrawide, and more detail in macro/front at the cost of ~1 sec shutter time. Test for yourself if it's worth it.

    ISSUES:
    - No distortion correction in ultrawide
    - In some cases Night Sight photos may be more noisy than optimal
    - Viewfinder may get too dark to see well at night, you can turn on OpenGL preview to fix this

This is a work in progress, so let me know what you think!

    hi guys
this is the SACHISK MIXED xml with main lens and front cam from KAIRU FINAL -0-.
in other words, all of Kairu's main lens natural and definition settings entered into Sachisk's XML. So we have the main camera from Kairu, and the rest (ultrawide lens and video recorder and other configs) from Sachisk. for LMC 8.4 x9s.

i could not change AWB settings, so the main camera has all the settings from Kairu without AWB. AWB settings from Sachisk.

from my last 3 2 and a half months, a LMC x9s is really quite stable, and an XML SACHISK MIXED presented the best compromise between functionality and good quality so far. I decided to mix the best of Kairu with the best of Sachisk according to my opinion.
