Has anyone here used Bigkaka's AGC gcam? I get 2-3 second delay before it takes pictures. Is there a workaround for that?

With your posted config the picture is black and white!?

But I've compared fresh install of AGC without changing the standard setting to lmc @antykat

@ all What's your opinion?

Did u remove custom libs, etc? had this problem too, as somewhere in another folder was laying a .so

Or, i dont know if that helps, try a different vendor package, maybe that Samsung or ruler3d one.

Also thanks for your comparison, and have to say agc is imho. the winner. Better sharpness, more details better overall color profile... Just the mirroring on your table says everything when it comes to details on non-zoom, just from the preview.

Edit; For bigkaka: had this B/W "problem" too once again. Did wipe data+cache (of Camera App, dont wipe your phones lol), reload config, and also make sure to select the right profile. (Profile 4 is BW (lens?) with out AWB iirc.)

Attaching my Config from 'as is' too.

I'm following this channel for more than 6 months. However, I still haven't found a "set" ( apk + configs + libs) for everyday use. Let me explain what I mean with that, great photos in daylight ( most of the sets are excellent in that), good portrait and video ( most of the cases have a problem with slomo) and the most important but also the most difficult excellent ( or as could as they can get ) night photos. So a question to the older members like @Laptapper but even the newer ones. What set do you use for everyday use?

*Sorry for the bad English it's not my first language

In your experience, do agc gcam's take pictures instantly or is there a few second delay?

It has less delay, yes, depends on which Options and also profile (not config) u choose at bigkaka. With less modes at "auto" its more snappy is my feeling. It has a few flaws, like the background processing takes 1-4~ seconds, but the wait is (unfortunately) rewarded in the end. Would also wish the mod would be a little more reactive for snapshots, where all the details do not magically disappearing like other mods who focus on speed only over close to crystal clear details. This sensor has more to offer. :(

Edit: Just noticed a BK 9.3 popped up.

Edit2: AGC8.6.263_V2.0 with the fix-v2 config looks like as it has aloooot potential. Its less laggy too, even with <10% battery. Needs deeper testing and a bit more tweaking from the pros around here is my opinion, and it has the potential to beat some flagships. :)

Configs (xml + lib) for Redmi Note 10 Pro and LMC8.4 R15.

About the configs:

✅ The xml was adopted from Xiaomi 11T Pro. I hope that everything works properly. It wasn't tested on custom/GSI roms.
✅ Very detailed photos without over sharpness from all cameras
✅ Close to real colours from Main camera
✅ Natural looking photos
✅ Sat 1 and Sat 2 modes for more saturated photos from Main camera
✅ Upscaling is set to x2 for all cameras
✅ Turn on AWB in Night Sight mode to get accurate colours

Xml:

❗The xml must be used with my lib (link below):
https://drive.google.com/file/d/16RqcPkZTDytSzABwmopo3UHzetIynxpt/view?usp=drivesdk

How to use the xml and the lib:

1. Put the lib into folder:
/LMC8.4/libs
2. Put the xml into folder:
/LMC8.4
3. Double tap at the black area between shutter button and gallery to load the xml.
The lib is loaded automatically by the xml, if the lib is in right folder.

I would really like to thank antykat for such an amazing xml and lib. I have been putting gcam in this device to get the same experience that I got 3 years ago on my old phone but none have worked just right for my taste. I have been trying almost every config from xda, telegram and 4pda but still getting janky looking photos.

Yours config is the first one where on a trip taking photos I never opened the leica miui app. I noticed instead of using the normal HDR+ in photos with human ,you could get phenomenal photos with auto night sight always on. The thing I am even more surprised is how the auto night sight just WORKS, (no reasonable blurring, photos are bright and vibrant, human faces are a chefs kiss with auto night sight)

Thank you so much for providing such an amazing GCam configuration for our device. Your hard work and dedication to improve the photography experience for us is greatly appreciated. Your contributions have made a big difference in the way we capture memories and the quality of our photos. Thank you for your generosity and for sharing your knowledge with the community.
Fully agree what you wrote. I also would like to thank antykat and all the others that work on GCam configurations and share it here. Making a camera-app so much better working. Thank's alot !!!

    Dear XDA GCam members,

I wanted to explain why I chose to provide the direct XML files with all the changes visible instead of hiding them behind a lib. The reason is simple: I wanted to make sure that the changes I made were accessible to everyone in the community.

By sharing the direct XML files, I hope that others can learn from the changes I made and use them to improve their own GCam setups. I believe that transparency and sharing knowledge is key to the growth and success of our community.

I also want to encourage all members to explore the libpatcher and learn from the values that have been changed. Together, we can continue to improve the GCam experience for everyone.

Thank you for your attention and I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together.

    Best regards,
    Making a lib you can:
    - share it for many various devices
    - use with all kinds of cameras
    - use with many GCams based on the same version of Google Camera
    - use a few various libs with one base xml according to your preferences, so you can collect libs good for every camera and you don't have to use a few xmls and switch between them
    - for me personaly, libs make creating configs much easier and safe a lot of time, because I make configs for a few GCams and devices. I dont have to set libpatchers separately for every GCam and camera
    - libs are universal and useful. Can I use your xml with AGC? NO. Can you use my lib with AGC? YES
    - most people don't care what values are in libpatcher. They load xml/lib and expect good results

So, please, don't suggest bad intentions to anybody saying about "hiding" anything. It's not nice 😏

For me HDR+ is favorite in case of fast shot.
Sgcam 8.7 is looking a bit noisy but best details and I think it could be improved to the best pic.

@nstream I didn't use led flash in case of not needed and flash reduces quality of far objects (also leica with flash produced bad over all details)
Led flash only needed in absolutely no light conditions....but for me it's useless in case of I've had no situation in no light to fotograph...

Checkout the laptapper darkxstaar package with Gcam lib and XML

Install APK, open, import lib, import XML, restart the app, success
(It's v9 and in my opinion with this config better as V10)

    20220901 Thread cleaned

In case of deleted files from users in my editable folder, test ended here.

I've followed the moderator suggestion about the sharing and the XDA rules, although I don't like to share with non XDA members.

This first post is now with a link to GDrive with shared xmls and libs
I've adjusted this folder that everyone can modify files inside.
Please don't delete files, otherwise the test with the editable shared folder ends.

My final final KAIRU XML (?)

This might just be my very last XML if no problems are found. (For LMC R12 Fix)

    Changelog:
Reduced the green tint on low-light (if it still persists then turn on AWB).

Sharper and reveals even more details.
Tuned the Wide camera and also fixed the distortion by changing the interface model, turns out it fixes the distortion only after capturing the image.

Added a subtle but very nice beauty mode "✨". It is very nice especially on portrait shots / human shots because it hides a bit of the imperfections (but not too much like what a TikTok filter would). And has the same color profile as the Main lens. I also recommend this mode for a very good low-light or maybe even night pictures because it has very low noise

    Please give it a try!

    20220830 Moderator Information

After a closer look at the thread, I find it is totally against XDA's standing on the way of sharing.
As a forum user for years, I spent 20 minutes on this thread back and forth, trying to find the direct links to download files but repeatedly encounter such words "xx is in invitation group" and it leads me to nowhere.
The whole thread will remain closed until I removed all off topic posts about "invitation group". And I believe this may take a few days.

    20220901 Moderator Information
TL;DR: all sharing must be happening on XDA or use XDA as major platform

    Wall of Text

This thread has been cleaned from off topic posts. You may notice that in total about 4 pages of posts are gone (147 vs 143).

As posted by some users here, this is one of the largesst gcam thread on XDA and the only thread existing for gcam discussion for this device. Unfortunately, it is not very friendly to new gcam users. A newbie, like myself :p, would be 99.5% lost during browsering this thread and the files people talking about were nowhere to find. This must stop.

I understand a developer's feeling of getting recognization, fulfilled, being needed, helpful, and credited. It is a great achievement to let your hard work to be used by many others. To a developer, getting feedback for sure is a critical way to improve the work. In this thread, I see many users are sharing their work and providiing feedback to each other, not only the main developer here, but each other. I belive in this gcam thread, everyone can develop and you are your own developer. Kudos to every "developers" here. :)

I also understand the feeling of "losing your work" when you posted it but no one cares or use it without feedback, it feels like "stealing" or "underappreciated". But I believe that is only a tiny portion of users, especially on XDA. And the background reason also varies: some users are new to this development or shy to share or just want to cherry pick the best for themselves. XDA is on internet, and on internet, we see all kinds of people like in your work, in your life. We accept the fact that users are not all perfect but to see the beauty in it: sharing the work with others.

From now on, please share the xml files directly on XDA. And for OP @Laptapper , I highly suggest you update the first post to include a repo or filehost or any format of summary you like to give others an overview of current progress. For example, you could release a monthly version and then continue ongoing test with users. This is just my suggestion and you have every right to select the way of sharing.

In the end, I want to emphasize one point:
all sharing must be happening on XDA or use XDA as major platform. Otherwise it is not allowed by our rules and content will be removed.

Thanks for reading this wall of text. Hope you all have a good time developing! :D

Sharing my personal config, arrived at after months of testing and tweaking:
    - For BSG MGC_8.1.101_A9_PV4, no library needed
    - Tested on M2101K6G (sweet)
    - Based on jeneeek's config (heavily tweaked for reduced noise, more accurate colours, better dynamic range)

    - All cameras configured (main, ultrawide, macro, front)
Includes stabilised 4k video recording for all cameras (though GCam stabilisation isn't as good as on stock MIUI app)
    - Photos are sharp and detailed, while still looking natural (no oversharpening halos etc)
    - Colours are natural and accurate but more punchy than stock (especially in low light)

If you prefer instant photos you can turn off HDR+ Enhanced, but I recommend keeping it on as it gives you improved noise management in main cam, better preserved highlights in ultrawide, and more detail in macro/front at the cost of ~1 sec shutter time. Test for yourself if it's worth it.

    ISSUES:
    - No distortion correction in ultrawide
    - In some cases Night Sight photos may be more noisy than optimal
    - Viewfinder may get too dark to see well at night, you can turn on OpenGL preview to fix this

This is a work in progress, so let me know what you think!

    hi guys
this is the SACHISK MIXED xml with main lens and front cam from KAIRU FINAL -0-.
in other words, all of Kairu's main lens natural and definition settings entered into Sachisk's XML. So we have the main camera from Kairu, and the rest (ultrawide lens and video recorder and other configs) from Sachisk. for LMC 8.4 x9s.

i could not change AWB settings, so the main camera has all the settings from Kairu without AWB. AWB settings from Sachisk.

from my last 3 2 and a half months, a LMC x9s is really quite stable, and an XML SACHISK MIXED presented the best compromise between functionality and good quality so far. I decided to mix the best of Kairu with the best of Sachisk according to my opinion.
