Configs (xml + lib) for Redmi Note 10 Pro and LMC8.4 R15.

Changes

Improved all cameras:
- new, rebuilt lib
- some changes in the xml

About the configs

Very detailed photos without over sharpness from all cameras
Close to real colours from Main camera
Natural looking photos
Sat 1 and Sat 2 modes for more saturated and contrasted photos from Main camera
Upscaling is set to x2 for all cameras
Turn on AWB in Night Sight mode to get accurate colours

How to use the xml and the lib

1. Put the lib into folder:
/LMC8.4/libs
2. Put the xml into folder:
/LMC8.4
3. Double tap at the black area between shutter button and gallery to load the xml.
The lib is loaded automatically by the xml, if the lib is in right folder.

Please tell me your opinion to the three pics with different gcams.
For objective opinions, I'll tell the taken Gcam versions and configs later.

3: best objectively looking, good dynamic range, white balance and proper exposure levels. looks more true to life. not best when pixel peeping
2: best subjectively looking, although its dynamic range is the worst and colour processing isn't 100% accurate, it is the most immediately pleasing to my eye. better than 3 when pixel peeping.
1: worst subjectively looking, it's overexposed with not the best dynamic range. it also has inaccurate white balance and a noticeable purple tint. not pleasing to my eye. best out of them when pixel peeping.

very surprising! hope 8.7 as a version is worked more on as in my opinion it is much smoother of an experience compared to older versions, and hopefully the non-obfuscation of 8.8 hdr code leads to more development as well. thanks for the blind comparison! respect to everyone working on giving users a better experience

It's incredible to think that even after so much feedback and input from the XDA community, people were still struggling to get it right.

Then out of absolute nowhere, bro drops the best config I have ever used on this device. I absolutely didn't know that even hdrnet can give that much details outside of pixel phones.

if you don't want extra brightness in the photo then you can turn off the option shown in the photo. It is recommended to turn that off in good daylight. I mostly kept that setting handy for night time because gcam photos were personally too dark for my preference in the night.

My final final KAIRU XML (?)

This might just be my very last XML if no problems are found. (For LMC R12 Fix)

Changelog:
Reduced the green tint on low-light (if it still persists then turn on AWB).

Sharper and reveals even more details.
Tuned the Wide camera and also fixed the distortion by changing the interface model, turns out it fixes the distortion only after capturing the image.

Added a subtle but very nice beauty mode "". It is very nice especially on portrait shots / human shots because it hides a bit of the imperfections (but not too much like what a TikTok filter would). And has the same color profile as the Main lens. I also recommend this mode for a very good low-light or maybe even night pictures because it has very low noise

from my perspective the XML file of yours produces the best picutre quality.

The balance between exposure, colors and sharpness is brilliant.

With regards to photography I am preferring your XML file along with the latest build of the LMC GCam app.

In terms of videography I see that the results are very grainy (noise) and the exposure on human faces is very low.

Is there anything I can do to reduce the noise and to increase the exposure in videos so that I can stick to using your XML file without changing to another for taking videos?

your comparisons are meaningless. you cant compare one config with hdrnet competing with your config with hdr++enhanced.

for a fair comparison both should be in the same stable place with equal number of frames.

1. both configs are on the hdrnet mode(less than 1 sec capture time )

2. both configs are on hdr++ enhanced with equal number of frames

Latest LMC with V8 libs its ok but front camera doesnt have details like sweet bsg 8.7 dxs .maybe because newer gcam version. I try them almost all but sweet bsg is the best for front camera in quality and details.

And how do you know what settings I used? Both were taken with HDR+E and 15 frames. Phone was stady. Diffrently than you I always check photos with maximum zoom. Then all oversharps and distorsions are visible. Most people never zoom so much and they don't need to, but I like to see all details.

I took a few more photos and your xml gives really good results.The only problem was text, part of it actually - white on black. The rest was good. Strange. I posted this comparison to show that.

Zooming wasn't a reason. I use gallery with deep zooming and displaying photos with highest possible quality options. My phone is 11T Pro. It has the same sensor, but SD888 with ISP. So maybe there are some diffrences in results.

Definitely it's chipset. I have friend with 11T, same sensor. 11T produces better photos on rear camera, wide and ultra wide with stock camera, compared to my stock or gcam. Regardless of config or gcam version, sensor perform better on that mediatek dimensity.

honestly great config, i notice colours are off but i have sunny not ofilm so that may be a contributor. didnt check manual color correction settings but if made for ofilm then i can change that. night sight works really well, although a bit soft as expected without ois. selfie cam is not good though and is the only reason im not switching to this. really good work, appreciate your effort and your willingness to share with the community!
