Yeah i am not an avid front cam user but yeah.. i do think the same way front cam on bsg was better .. but if smoother viewfinder/app and overall great rear camera is what one needs .. this this parrot is better ... As of now .. i heard bsg is working on 7.2 variant .. but there is no timeline when he will release the apk or whether it will work for us or not.. but still i am really waiting to see what bsg can do with latest apk .. fingers crossed for that

- heres what you need to do so that night sight saves pics properly : go to Gcam settings and turn 'PIXEL AWB' to OFF .
- to make th auti focus data disappear from viewfinder : go to Gcam setting > developer settings > search for debug in search box > untick "camera.debug.af.show"
- if u want a faster view finder turn off lens suggestions .

PS : any 9 pie users here can also test it out and tell others if its working .

Although this one is earlier version but it is working perfect, no more crash on Crdroid 6.0 HTC10 I have applied all your advise and became more stable. I have few questions below:
1) How can I set the default storage location as SD card instead of internal?
2) How can put time/date stamp on taken pictures.

edit: If I turn of google lens option, it disables Google Lens and its nice sub options. Anyway to manually enable without turning of in More menu?

i have another yet unreleased version of Gcam from BSG .. it has the best front cam quality of any version iv seen yet working on HTC 10 ... but there is one issue ... it doesnt save the night site pics because the pixel AWB option cannot be turned off in the specific apk yet (its very basic apk and BSG is no longer working on GCAM :( ) ... if there is some pro guy here that knows how to access developer option on that apk and make AWB / sabre option visible in settings so we can turn it off .. i think it will be the best overall apk yet .. but for that we need help of some developer who can do that job .

link for Gcam 7.2.0.14 with fixed front cam (now comes with a toggle to turn on functional face retouching ... and the noise is almost non existent) PS if u wana use astro mode it will only work if face retouching is off .. so remember to turn that off before u capture some stars .
(note this is Android 10 only apk)

does someone have copy of gcam from the OP for the nougat and oreo... that from google drive link...? it will be very nice to share with us because the link is dead...:eek:

hello guys .. once again back with working BSG gcam, this time latest 7.3.018.. so far BSG and Parrot Gcam have been best for our HTC 10 if you are looking for best Pic quality .. Arnova, Dise and Cstark work too but their pic quality not on the level of these 2 specially when u compare front cam and portrait mode .. plus the colors really pop out .
as of yet 7.3.018 from BSG is really the most simplest and out of the box solution .. (this i am saying after trying lots of apks ..which need lots of settings to get pic quality right). As 7.3.018 is latest apk and bsg is first one to put it out, Astro mode is non functional (their is a toggle indicating future it will be added in future releases) .. everything else works as intended including 24ps recording. As a heads up turn off google AWB when using night mode ... (now a switch in drop down menu).

If you are an avid Astro mode user and cant live without it use Parrot apk 7.2.014_V3 ... its got tons of customization if you want that .. and best pic quality .. also it supports xml config (i will attach my config file so u can load it up and get going immediately).
PS: v7.3 is strictly Android 10 only. parrot gcam also runs on Pie .. Unfortunately these goodies not for Oreo.
