As far as I know Poco X3 has 16MP main sensor. Advertised 64MP is just ... advertisment.
As far as I know many people speak things they don't know but easily start the sentence with "as far as I know" and then dump some whatever lazy info. It is 64mp sensor.

Patiently waiting for Arnova8G2 version 8 of GCam
I was a promoter of the fundraising to get pocox3 to arnova and I contributed personally. The order of the phone has already been made and will arrive in about seven days ... We are in the hands of the best developer for gcam ... Let's be patient and we will have an exceptional port.

Already the first beta built with only the logs that we have provided has excellent results.

Amazing photos!
Do you know if 64MP mode can be enabled in future like Magisk module or something for GCam as I would love to compare it to my Nokia 808 Pureview in term of details.

And btw. thanks for your contribution.

For 64mp I can't tell you. But in any case it would be fake 64mp. Sensors built for pixel binning no longer perform when used at full resolution. It only increase the weight of the files increases but in quality there is little or no gain

Hypercam HCGCam_7.3.018_V1.1.apk with google awb turned off has produced the best results so far for me. I urge others to try it and share their opinion.

I have a different opinion about AWB. AWB usually gave me more natural color reproduction than stock kamera, and that's just not the case for this device, it's for every device i tried. It can oversaturate colors sometimes, but it's not a big deal.

I took a series of photos yesterday using the stock camera, GCAM 7.4 from Nikita and GCam 8 from BSG. The stock camera was more than able to produce images good enough for me. Not sure what GCam brings to the party to be fair that the stock camera doesn't. Be interesting to hear people's thoughts.

If you decide to de-google or at least debloat your phone installing custom rom you will no longer be able to use xiaomi camera. You need some kind of replacement. Gcam is unified so when you change your phone brand you can still use the same gcam (customised for that device). So for me it is ultimate solution as I no longer have access to stock cam. I don't really care whether it is better than stock or not. I'm as much interested in pictures quality as in video quality. I don't care about 64MP AI marketing stuff (as some users angrily responded to my claim that it's practical application is 16MP).

Gcam pros:
Better detail
Better hdr effect especially in potraits
Better low light performance

Stock cam pros:
Better skin tones
Better white balance and color accuracy
Better highlight clipping control in night mode but overall gcam is better
Much faster photo processing

Verdict: stock camera has gotten so much better. I remember when difference was night and day with gcam on redmi note 7. But still properly developed gcam for poco x3 may futher improve the results.

It is objectively safe and established by countless tests that a gcam with the right settings greatly exceeds the performance of the stock camera. Those who say the opposite do not ask if the gcam they tried is well set up because I repeat countless comparisons give certain proof that the performance of the gcam is better than the stock camera. Then everyone does as he wants.
