@Arnova8G2, I tried your latest release (GCam5.1.018-Arnova8G2-V1.7Beta2). The same problems still exist.

Also please note that Front Camera Portrait mode only works perfectly in GCam5.1.018-Arnova8G2-V1.5. In versions 1.7 and 1.7Beta2, images have a green tint.

What is this man ? Is this some crypto-currency mining app packaged in the form of GCam ? No one download this. You never know theses days what you get when even Youtube is serving crypto-currency mining ads.

I'm from the Russian forum 4pda.ru. In a similar branch we have there, the guy threw off the version where hdr + works. I decided to share with you. But since only registered users can not attach files and links, it was necessary so to throw off. Remove the space before "com"

For all those thinking of downloading this, don't. This is a very old implementation of GCam and it's not the one we want. It won't make much of a difference from any other camera app out there.

Why don't you learn to understand English first, or is it that you generally cannot tell the difference, even in your native language, between "is there a chance something can be done" and "when is something going to be done" ? I find the comprehension skills of the average poster on XDA to be quite lacking and leaves a lot to be desired. It's a shame that despite that fact that the literacy rate has gone up in the world since the middle ages, the level of intelligence is probably still the same, and as such there are lots of illiterate literates roaming freely on this planet spewing whatever nonsense that comes to their minds.

Sorry to tell you this, this is probably not going to happen. You can infer from @Arnova8G2's last comment that he's not going to be doing any work for the P2. I should probably ask a mod to close this thread.

Hey, the p2 back camera can't shoot raw image for some reason, even though it should be able to. It gives a pink screen then crashes on her+

Here's a summary of what we're experiencing.
In all versions of your camera mods, the rear camera doesn't work. It gives pink tint on the screen and the app freezes after a few seconds.

GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V5 : Front camera works in both normal and portrait mode. However, when HDR+ is turned on in both normal and portrait (ON by default) modes, the resulting image has a green tint. [Please see 1st attached image.]

GCam5.1.018-Arnova8G2-V1.5 : This is the last version in which the front camera works perfectly both in normal and portrait modes. All versions newer than this result in images with green tint from the front camera.
Here's the weird part with this version. The rear camera works once every 10 attempts in portrait mode. Even though the screen has pink raster in portrait mode, it is possible to take a picture. 7 out of 10 times the app crashes. 2 out of 10 times it produces a jagged picture [Please see 2nd attached image]. 1 out 10 times it produces a perfect image [Please see 3rd attached image]. So, the rear camera works once in a while, but in portrait mode only. This should definitely be promising news.


Many of us (including me) have provided logs and posted them in this thread (they can be found on page 2 onward). If you need us to provide fresh logs, we can also do so.
